I think i did and you didnt get back to me after 3 emails
so if i dont have nothing from you till tomorrow
you are dead to me

fran, your offer is like most of your offers to me: not close on value. you have to be realistic on your offers if you want a response.

what is realistic to you ?
I offer you 69+92 for 7 and 271´s if that is not a good base to even counter ...
what I´m saying
I dont care you are dead to me
can pick or stall the draft till 25th
after all you are a mod
live by the rules
rule by exemple
cheers

yeah, fran i'm really not interested in countering your lowball offers. so the whole dead to me thing is for the best. it will save you time to not type them to start with.

This...exactly.

One thing is to take your time because, as we all know, the draft hasn't officially started, but it's something completely different to hold the draft hostage to get a deal done.

Sure, I'd like to get this thing going because of my travel/time constraints, and the change of the draft start-date to a week later did make things more difficult for me, but I'm also ok just sending my list to BWW and Gokce.

It seems like Floppy is just using his time on until the clock starts to get people to make a deal, knowing that stalling the draft for a week is full within the rules...but that's just bad form. And no, Wes, that's not browbeating, that's simply providing my own commentary on the current situation, and nothing's wrong with that, especially on a user forum where commentary is ok...nay encouraged.

I'll change browbeating to hectoring if that works better for you.

I'm not holding the draft hostage to get a deal done. I don't know who I want at 7 given my current situation. I thought I would offer the pick up as a solution to both problems.

Meh, you have 1 of 2 people you can choose from. If you can't decide in 5 days on your first overall pick, then this is going to be a long draft for you.

Use whatever terminology you want, Wes. It's still wrong. I'm free to share my opinion, and I'm not threatening Floppy in any way. Hectoring is bullying...not sharing an opinion about the way things are going.

Though, I can use hectoring to refer to the email exchanges I've had with Floppy in which he has told me that he'll just wait until Monday to pick if I don't make a severely one-sided deal with him.

Either way, I've said my peace. Floppy can continue to hold the draft hostage until Monday when the time limit is enforced, and I'm fine just sending BWW and Gokce a list.

If the deal is one sided, just take the other side of it. I've offered to trade in both directions with trades that are very close. The idea that I'm trying to rip you off just won't fly.

You make a good point, let's do the opposite of the deal then.

Accepted. And as a bonus I'll make my pick now, even though I'd very much rather wait.

Nice deal. Curry/Love duo should put you in the top half of the league.

I think Brian wins out on this deal. That's a ton of added depth for just moving down one round.

and here I thought if I had taken that deal I would've been ripped off. Go figure. We'll see if having the Love/Curry combo is better than having your first 4 picks in the 30s/40s range. I've always wondered which one is better, top-heavy no depth or depth minus a top 10 pick.

I think in the past the going rate for a top 5 pick was 2nd and 4th rounder, so I feel pretty good about getting a 2nd and 3rd rounder.

heh, now that two people have chimed in declaring opposite winners, i'm thinking my instincts about this being pretty close might have been right. my main motivation was that so brian and i could both move on in the draft - i knew i wanted love if i had curry but i didnt know who i wanted at 7 otherwise. the other option was trading out the #7 but brian and i couldn't quite work that out. it would have been a similar deal to the one above.
