Do you guys consider the Raptors a rival?

Hi, I'm a Raptors fan and some people on your board feel like you're a rival to our team. Do you guys consider us a rival?

You guys consider us rivals since you can't beat us in the playoffs.

We on the other hand, don't really think about you guys.

When we defeated you guys on May 4th and ended your season, that was a dark day for the Raptors franchise and fanbase.

To us, it was merely another Sunday.

Didn't consider them rivals when we traded for VC and they hated our guts. Didn't consider them rivals when we kicked their ass in 2007. Don't consider them rivals now even after the second ass kicking.

If it is a ''rivalry'' then it's pretty one sided.

No. There is no rivalry between us. Raptor fans are obsessed with us because we always embarrass them. We don't care.

I think the Raptors are / consider them a rival, but that there is not a strong rivalry between the two teams.

I'd say there's no rivalry simply from the fact that there's no bad blood between the two teams.

However, I do think the Nets fanbase is a bit annoyed with the Raptor fans who come on the Nets board and talk crap to us for no reason.

I understand that the Raptors have a large fanbase and the ones who troll us are probably a small fraction of the fanbase, but the ones we deal with just like to start crap.

While I'm not bothered by it as much as other posters, I understand why other Nets fans quickly get defensive and tense when Raptors fans post on our board.

I consider the Raptors our rivals as much as my a$$hole considers toilet paper it's rival. Both are pretty one sided relationships. :D

The Nets-Raptors series was definitely a great series to watch. The turning point in that series was unquestionably Game 5. It was at that point many of us Nets fans thought that the Nets were finished (down I believe 30 points or close to it) and boom, just like that, they made a huge comeback and nearly took the game from you guys. No Raptor fan knew what was coming in Game 6 and the Nets proved they were the better team and more resilient team in Games 6 and 7. This Nets team has potential; I still believe they finish top 3 in the East and may come out of the East.

Experience won over arrogance and youth.

It seems to be turning into a nice rivalry. I wouldn't say that it's a true rivalry yet, but it can develop into one. They are building up some what of a history with each other.

I would say our top rivalry is with the Knicks, and then maybe the Raptors.

I really would like to see it develop into a big one in all honesty.

I'd like it to be one as well, closest thing we have to a rivalry, but it ain't one till both sides win. Still, I don't think Raptor fans are concerned with the Nets this season and I think its the same with Nets fans. Indifference unless there's a race for the division or another playoff match up.

I think this is the year a rivalry would get established. BRK just squeaked by TOR in game 7 and this year they will be battling for the Division Title which TOR took last year. Its been a while since BRK has won it so I'm sure they will be gunning for it this year.

With Boston falling out of first and BRK and TOR both having climbed from the bottom of the division in the last 3 years, I can see a rivalry lining up.

Personally, its easier for me to see BRK establishing themselves at the top and NY joining them up their next year then it if for me to see TOR holding onto it. Over the next 2-3 years, I see TOR as the 3rd best team in the division. Who knows when BOS finally assembles a team again. They have a good front office so at some point they will. And PHI is all about seeing what the have in Embiid in 2015. I can see TOR becoming the old ATL team.. just stuck in the middle.

Toronto will have a tougher time with us this season if Lopez and Williams are healthy.

Also, I'll wager Plumlee will be eager to play against the Raptors.

You have a weird hatred of the Raptors. Every time I see you post lol. Don't hide the agenda, come join us on the Raptors board. I feel like Wizards fans are jealous of Raptor fans.

Or perhaps he just doesn't think the Raptors are that good? I don't see any reason for Wizards fans to be jealous. It just seems like Raptor fans can't take what they dish out.

It amazes me that these Raptor fans even come over here. Joe Johnson annihilated their wings. I think we'll smack them during the season as well.
