Everything is in the media for a reason. I still think Bledsoe stays a Sun.

I think so too. Not because I'm delusional thinking everything will be worked out and we're buddy-buddy again but because I don't think we're going to agree to a S&T that Bledsoe nor the Suns would be happy with.

Whether Jude has legit insight or not, I'm just glad something is swirling. there's been nothing to discuss for a couple weeks

Would Boston do a deal surrounding Marcus Smart or is that a silly thought with rondo there

The thing I am confident about is that Ryan will make the best possible move, whether that is upping the offer to Bledsoe (if Sarver is willing), sitting back and letting Bledsoe take the QO, or finding a trade partner that brings in a better than average haul.

Charlotte for Kemba +?
Dallas for Monta+?
San Antonio for Splitter and Green?
What else is out there that hasn't been uncovered?
I have thought of Monte Ellis and the Mavs are far enough under the cap to swap Ellis and a first for Bledsoe
That might be do-able

Zero reason for the Suns to change their offer. The Bledsoe camp needs to get into reality and come back with 4/56 to start real negotiations or take the QO and lose millions of dollars
Best thing for the Bledsoe camp to do is get their heads out of the arses and get in the real world.
Personally, I think I am done with the guy and I do like that Ellis for Bledsoe deal - I think that could work for the Suns

Not a fan of it. With the Bucks, if we were to settle on a deal with them, it would have to begin with Knight for sure (since they won't trade top players). But Illyasova doesn't' do it for me. Henson would just add to the glut of C's we have. I don't think the Bucks are a good partner for us.

If he really believes in himself he can offer 3/40 with a po in year three. Eric gets his money and an opportunity to be free later. Hey, I get a guy who really believes in himself, but he has to convince everyone else yet. He ought to be up to the challenge to do that.

More marginal players to compete for playing time with the players that we already need to develop. Trades are not about equal value in talent, the primary issue is where your team is when it is done. How about this. Let Paul go to Cleveland and convince them to take Bledsoe, Green, and a pick (Lakers) for Wiggins. They can then trade Irving, Waiters, Bennett, and multiple firsts (Miami, Lakers) for Love.
Cleveland gets a better team immediately because Bledsoe is a better complementary player than Irving (defense).
Minny isn't happy but gets lots of pieces for the future and some tradeable assets now even if Irving and Rubio are redundant. They would be getting to overall number one picks, and two mid to high first rounders for Love. Not a bad haul. Good grief, I would even give Minny back their own pick that we own, if it would make them happy. Minny's guard rotation is Irving, Rubio, Waiters, LaVine.
The Suns take a swing that Wiggins is going to be a superstar and clean out the log jam on their roster some. Suns guard rotation becomes Goran, IT, Wiggins, and Archie.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 5: Dinnertime!
I just do not think a sign and trade is likely unless there is a team out there that REALLY likes Bledsoe. Teams over the cap have to send a huge amount of salary back to the Suns in order to give him what he wants. There are no expirings out there and even if there were, the Suns could just let Eric walk and recoup his salary. No way are the Suns going to lose a significant asset in Bledsoe and then take back a bunch of unnecessary salary (essentially paying the other team) to make it happen.
There is talk about the Lakers sending Randle and Nash, but why would the Suns do that? It would only be sentiment, not a good business decision.
Maybe Houston. They really need a pg. But I do not know what the Suns would want to take back outside of Harden.

Good thought, but the Love for Wiggins Bennet deal is done and Bledsoe and his demands are not going to upset the applecart.

I think you hit the nail on the head. The trade market is closed for Bledsoe unless the Suns take back marginal players on bad contracts.
Also do not think for a moment that other teams are unaware of another point guard with 2 recent knee surgeries - Derek Rose's struggles with TEAM USA. His knees are sore enough that he has to sit out practices and is likely to lose the starting pg position to Irving.
When teams give max contracts to players, they really do not want any doubt that the player will be able to play for the whole term of the deal. After seeing guys like Stoudemire, Gordon, and Rose struggle with knee injuries, teams are going to be cautious about committing long term max dollars to Bledsoe with 2 surgeries in three years and who has not played a full season as a starter.
BTW keep an eye on Westbrook - his knee was entered 3 times and during the latter part of the season, he sat several games because of soreness.

If Bledsoe comes back on the QO, I'm gonna have to re-up on my Xanax. I'm already getting anxiety thinking about Goran's situation next offseason lol. But Goran, Keef (restricted) and possibly Bledsoe all hitting the market next season. Ugh, I wouldn't want to be McD .

If Bledsoe signs the QO, it means he doesn't want to play here period.

I disagree. He wants money. Lots of it. Signing the QO keeps that dream alive although it comes with a risk (injury). Unless we antagonize him (more than the rumors suggest) I'm pretty sure he'd sign a max deal the moment we put it in front of him. I'd be more convinced that he simply wanted out if he were to take a two year deal for something along the lines of our opening offer (12 per) hoping to be in a position similar to Love's this season. Two years allows teams enough time to clear the room and gather the assets needed for the deal while providing some security for him in the interim.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 5: Dinnertime!
It was interesting to actually read LaCava's quote - he appears to be referring to his sources as being outside of the Suns organization not within it.
Nevertheless it had been quoted by some guy at NBC sports who adds his comments and seems to be under the impression that some other team will be able to give Bledsoe a 5 year max deal, which of course is not true, but he is a blogger. He also comments that no one appears willing to pay Bledsoe what he wants. No teams are mentioned as having interest in a trade.
Again, I suspect this is all coming from Bledsoe's camp to try to move the Suns into a position of negotiating against themselves.
