He's the same guy who made threads on the GB about how the Lakers were carried by the refs to the playoffs a couple yrs ago ..basing his opinion on FTA discrepancy nontheless

The yrs we were pouncing the Jazz in the playoffs must have had an effect on the dude ..the other guy who made the record projection and claims he's an ace in bets won is a Warrior mod...that should tell you all about him

I mean really,on what criterias do they select mods around here?Don't get me wrong, they nailed it on the Lakers board,I love every single one of our mods and think they are exceptional at what they do ...moderating,while being very knowledgeable about basketball in general
But you gotta think you have to know something about ball as well and try to keep a level head and an objective mind....stirring the pot in an already hectic environment towards the Lakers(GB)...smh

I content with 15 wins, and get one of good center on 2015 draft...

But still.. 15 win, thats funny

I saw his funny little analysis of the Lakers and the "15" wins that the Warrior mod Floppymoose pinned on us, he also said we'd finish dead last in the west.

Laker fans go to the GB and bookmark that thread, because you're gonna find much sig material there to use all season.

Threads like that just shows the inane hatred for the Lakers. When guys can't use common sense or at least give a unbiased analysis of a team is down right asinine. I mean these are just two Joe Blow posters like anyone else here. Hell I could've thought out a more detailed analysis than those two haters.

To even think the Jazz will be better than the Lakers is foolish and well straight up being brain dead. I've been watching pro ball for well over 30+ years, and trust when I say this team as assembled isn't nowhere near worse as the squads we watched in 2004-05 or 2005-06.....and the 05-06 team at least made the playoffs.

The team has the right mix, youth, vets and middle of the road guys who are at the "show it now" point of their careers. And it's like I've been saying for the longest, expect some of the teams that made the playoffs to have some issues which will result in some setbacks.

I'm a long time fan, one who will tell it like it is. We may not be contender, we're not elite by any stretch either. But what we are from looking at the roster, is a team that will compete hard. Any fool breathing could see injuries wrecked whatever chance we had at being decent.

I say next season when he comes here saying...."I need a little info", let him use Goggle. Don't even respond to the thread.

Yikes.

Horrible analysis, if you want to call it that.

A real analysis would have been to discuss how the Lakers plan to use various players and ask/answer questions about how those players would perform. Some examples:

- How will Kobe perform since Scott has stated he will spend more time in the post this year? How will that impact the rest of the team given that he's one of the best post players in the league, both in terms of scoring as well as creating out of the post?

- What effect will Lin, a very good PNR guard, have on Boozer, a very good PNR big?

- Will Johnson improve his outside shot and provide some needed floor spacing, in addition to continuing to play solid defense?

- What impact will Hill, one of the leagues best offensive rebounders and hustle men, have with increased minutes? Will he hold up? If so, what type of impact will he have?

... and so on. Calling players has beens isn't analysis. In fact, I didn't see any real basketball analysis in the OP. Isn't this a basketball forum?

I'm calling it now crazyeights, he's gonna come with the old "well I was certainly wrong" card and any other sad a** excuse that comes with it. But the sad part is he'll never admit it to this board. Believe that.

BTW, I might have been a little harsh in my response so for that I apologize. Given the amount of effort you guys put in just writing these up I think you are short-changing yourselves and the fans by not asking more questions about team dynamics before posting your final analysis.

I think just about anyone here could have explained what system Scott will be implementing on offense (Princeton variation) as well as how players fit into that system. That would have at least been a good starting point.

I like the idea of analyzing each team every year, but I think it needs to change for it to be more accurate.
For example maybe let each forum do their own write up and pm it to moose and jazz. The main writers can be the mods and everyone else can throw in their input. In this way will you be able to figure out a more correct analysis of each team.

It's totally asinine to think a team with Kobe at least getting to start the season is only going to win 15 games. But's furthermore what's straight up brainless thinking, is the dude defiantly stood on his they'll be last in the west prediction. Flat out it's stupid, short bus thinking. Like I said they're just two Joe Blow posters like anybody else here. The Warrior mod goes on to rave that he used some system to come up with the wins, through simulations of numbers......I call bs on that.

Being real about giving an analysis, the Lakers probably would've been the hardest team to do that with because of various factors. Only those who are familiar with Scott's system could start their analysis with that alone.

But we don't know who at least two other starters are going to be, we don't know who's plugged into the 6th man role and were not even sure who Scott starts at the lead guard. These factors were never considered by the clueless analysis.

But given my expertise on ball the way I know it, we won't be nearly as bad as the media and so called experts who've never dribbled a ball claim we'll be.

Projected Lineup
PG – Trey Burke, Dante Exum, Ian Clark
SG – Alec Burks, Carrick Felix
SF – Gordon Hayward, Rodney Hood, Steve Novak
PF – Enes Kanter, Trevor Booker, Jeremy Evans
C – Derrick Favors, Rudy Gobert

Trade Block: Enes Kanter. Kanter and Favors couldn't co-exist last season under Corbin. It remains to be seen if Snyder can solve the riddle. If not, look for Kanter to be shopped. On a totally unrelated note the Jazz brought in two power forwards in Booker and Novak this off-season.

Position Battle: Trey Burke vs. Dante Exum. IMHO Exum is the eventual starter at PG and Burke is the backup. When that happens is open for speculation. I'd guess either after the All Star break or starting next season.

Mystery Man: None other than Dante Exum. He was the biggest mystery of the draft and is the biggest mystery on the Jazz.

Floppymusings:
I bet Jazzfan remembers me being a Hayward doubter after his rookie season, but I'm on the bandwagon now. He's good. But the Hayward/Favors combo isn't going to save the Jazz this season. The silver lining could be an excellent draft spot.

JazzfanRamblings:

21, 23, 24, 22, 23

That's the ages of the projected starters. Rounding out the top 8 would be Exum, Hood, Gobert.
19, 21, 22.

An average age of 21.875. Lets just say 22. It's kinda like the Jazz are running a team of College seniors out there. Adreian Payne (15th pick of 2014 draft) is older than the average age of the top 8; put that in your pipe and smoke it. If Corbin was still the coach he'd find a way to get 96 minutes a night out of Novak just to piss off Jazz fans. However, I don't see any way Snyder manages to screw up the youth movement -cough- tank -cough-. I think it's another long year for the Jazz with all that youth and they'll finish bottom of the Western Conference once again.

Projected Record – 22/60
