Let's assume it is just about money. I think this follows: Bledsoe isn't expecting a long career.

If he signed 4/48, in four years he should be at his prime (if he could remain healthy) and therefore could demand max. With the salary cap expected to shoot up and the fact that he will be in the next tier of experience, max will be around 22M. That would be 5 years, 110 million. That's a total of about $154M career earnings not counting endorsements (good ones of which he would surely have at some point). That would put him above 99.5% of all NBA players in history, or (for comparison) 99.99% of all NFL players in history.

Wow, shocking developments! The thought of Wiggins leaves me drooling, and if anything more comes our way it s all gravy!

At this point I had given up on Bledsoe thinking he was going for the QO, so if we could get anything for him thats a huge plus for the mgmt. I would be OK with LaVine plus Bennett (or Waiters), but if we can get Wiggins and one of these 3 guys I can see us taking back Martin and giving them Green (or draftpicks).
Whatever really. We get rid of an injury prone guy who thinks waaaay to much of himself, and doesnt want to be here on a fair deal, and would leave us without compensation next offseason... We gain a couple promising young players (rather high picks in recent drafts) on rookie deals. Sign me up, and work out the fillers/money/draftpicks later!

Rayray, NotTraxxe pretty please with sugar on the top, keep us posted :)

Well, if we do get him (highly unlikely) you might take PhxSuns1's nutz with you and throw it in, it might work like it did for Frodo with the Ring!

That rumor of Wiggins/one of LaVine or Waiters seems waaay (emphasis on the triple a) too good to be true.

That being said, please be true.

True, but you never know what Minny is really up to, and what are the real details. I think we could make a fair trade for both sides. If the Wolves (Saunders) really wants to win now, I can see them taking on Bledsoe, Green and draft picks (Lakers, and ours, and a second) for Wiggins, Martin (and maybe LaVine or Waiters)...
They get two veterans and 3 draft picks for a rookie (or two) and a baaad contract. We get a promising rookie (or two) and take that contract off their hands... I ve seen stranger things happen in this league, and this wouldn't be too one sided imo.

I don't think I'll read a funnier quote today lol.

I have cooled on getting Wiggins. Just don't see it happening.

@APkrawczynski: The Timberwolves like Bledsoe, but certainly not enough to bail on the 3-team deal in place. Things go forward as planned

@APkrawczynski: For Flip to get Wiggins, Bennett AND Thad for Love (who was leaving), Shved, Moute and Miami's No. 1, hard to how he could've done better

This never got traction. We were told no.

There is a deal in place.

Minnesota isn't pulling a Golden State.

Also, as K-dawg noted the Suns and Bled's agent are talking. The Suns and Bled are not.

Are we looking to sign Bledsoe or only looking to make a S&T right now?
Thanks.

I wish I had a nicer way of saying this.
But f$&@ Bledsoe and that wannabe agent of his.

I don't want to see him a suns uni ever agajn. Bledsoe now joins my list of most disliked ex suns: mustaf, knight, kleine, Dumas, Bledsoe, Lindsey hunter (coach), and Beasley.

And no, I am not going to welcome him back if a deal gets done. All will not be forgot. I like the suns but that doesn't mean I have to like Bledsoe.

Cavs fan here...
No way this trade happens. Why would Minnesota want Bledsoe who's already had injury concerns and would be a on a max contract? It would be kinda hard to sell Bledsoe as the hope and future to Wolves fan lol. Plus Cavs and Wolves are really high on their rookies. Lavine looked good in SL and is an amazing athlete. People are also throwing in Dion Waiters like he's a scrub or something but it was his 2nd year in the league and if you look at the stats post all star break he basically was Eric Bledsoe minus a rebound and an assist. Check it out yourself http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_ ... on-waiters Then when you add Wiggins and Bennett and etc it starts geting comical. We're only trading Wiggins and Bennett cause Love is a premiere top 10 NBA player. Minnesota wouldn't trade until the All-Star break this year if they didn't get an offer like this. This is just perfectly setup for these 2 teams right now.

This.

I can't believe you guys are so hard-up that you believe, hope , and pray for fantasy deals setting yourself up for disappointment.

Bledsoe will be a Sun next year for four or one more year/s. No one will give him a max this year plus valued players if he plans on walking next year. We are not biding against our selves (market has been set) and neither are other teams.

I repeat. Bledsoe market value has been set by the Suns and the league. Good day.

Well I am a bird in the hand kind of guy. If you want to win now, Bledsoe and Green are definitely better than Lavine, Wiggins, Bennett, and Waiters..... Waiters is a knuckle head and those other guys haven't done jack and they have a whole lot of questions about there game, period.

I just think it is dumb for Minny to give Bledsoe all of that money instead of allowing those guys to develop.

I agree this whole idea is far fetched, but the Suns jumping in on Wiggins is not even close to pulling a Golden State. (Assume you're talking Amare-Curry?) Cavs don't care what Wolves do with Wiggins... Solely up to Wolves to decide if Wiggins+ is better for their team than Bledsoe/Green. Making this a 4 team deal at the buzzer doesn't necessarily require any team to renege on their commitments.

What exactly would Minnesota be winning though with Bledsoe? The 12th seed?

You guys can all go back to bed...the Wolves are running ticket promo ads in the local Minny paper this morning featuring Wiggins, etc.

I never believed Bledsoe forLove if that is what you mean by being told No

Or do you mean, BledsoeGreen for Wiggins and players like Waiters

As there are two report: ESPN has the Suns getting in on Love

RayRay and Kerrsed were sayin Bledsoe to Minny and making this a four team trade almot. not Love to Phx

So, if you are Minnesota - what is better?

Thaddeus Young, Wiggins Bennett
or

Young Bledsoe and Green

this year and next year option 2

long term: 5 years, hard to say

Return to Phoenix Suns
