Drake should just buy the Raptors. No green font.

Very depressing, can't help but feel that with the loss of Tim, we're also losing being seen as a legitimate franchise worth coming to. It was fun while it lasted.

Now we know what Rob Ford will be doing once he's no longer mayor.

Larry T doesn't get enough credit, you guys acting like Tim magically appeared in Toronto. It's Larry T's money and affection that recruits these guys. He also got BC, okay that didn't work out but the point is they try hard.

Nobody can say MLSE is against the Raps, they will hire someone that wants the role of CEO, not as sexy as president and GM, but more of an administrative job.

I'm not knocking Larry T. I just feel like in order for the Raptors to flourish, they need to be a separate entity from the Leafs, and managed in a different way than they are.

This article is absurd, Leiweke was an important figure, but it hasn't all happened only because of him.
And then someone took Leiweke, was made a great choice two years ago, I don't see why it can't be done again. Indeed, I expect that he will be replace by a person even more important.
Our journey doesn't stop now, forget it!

If someone is pessimistic and doesn't believe in this team, can fall off the bandwagon now.

I wish the evil Robellus conglomerate would just sink into the ocean somehow, save our wallets and our sports teams. Bankruptcy's not enough, cause they'd just bounce back

It was the perfect storm to grab someone of Tim's caliber, not every day an impressive Sports Conglomerate Boss with his kind of resume is suddenly looking for a job after he leaves AEG . I can assure you MLSE will not get anyone of Tims credibility IN SPORTS, resume to run a sports conglomerate, and high stature again. Tim basically came in when the planets aligned and now MLSE has screwed it up. They will only find specialty guys with less impressive resumes. Raptors can easily be affected by change, and its nothing the actual team can do about what goes on at the top.

I think when you look at the past decade and even followed media pressure on TL regarding the Leafs that it's not a stretch to be pessemistic. He did more in 16 months than we have done as an ownership in forever (if not ever). It would be great to see someone just as capable come in, but realistically, it's not gonna happen.

Sadly we're crawling back in to Limbo.

It's deflating. No I don't want to lose the Raps, but this regression is sickening. We all know far too well how it feels, and will feel again within 24 months. I don't think I can eat that corporate regurgitation any more and if shady moves are being made or team is split than that's the end of the road for me.

Drake should continue recruiting for the Raps. He's our best recruiter.

I read this and got chills.... Why in the world would the "bigger people" in MLSE not want Tim Leiweke to run the board, he knows what he's doing and has been proving he's done more in one year than these guys took 7 years to do. Why argue with him and ruin what we have working?

This is beyond stupid and I really wish the Toronto Raptors could win but it seems MLSE would rather have the Toronto Maple Leafs make 8th every year and lose in the first round than to see the Raptors start a dynasty.
