There's a simple solution to this. Don't listen to WIP.

A really late first rounder since I see Miami being somewhere between 3 - 6 in the East. I don't see how that is a valuable asset than Bennett who can potentially be an all star some day. A former first who had a bad rookie season, but we do see glimpse of how good he can be is better than a late 1st rounder to me.
The number 3 team in the East last year was still worse than all 8 West playoff teams. This pick has a fantastic chance to be in the 15-19 range even without a major Bosh or Wade injury.
Well, I hope so for our sake but I have a feeling Dwade and Bosh is playing with a chip on their shoulder.

1) 11-12???? Project your Eastern Conference standings for me because you're bound to be salty at the end of this year.
2) Who else could have needed Thad? Name me a team. And name me a theoretical price that was better than a 18-22 pick.
3) We traded Turner and Hawes last year for 2nds. This is much, much better.
4) LMM is a legit NBA defensive player. Just a step below Tony Allen. You hating hard. Hating very very hard. He's the type of role player a championship team could really use.

1. I just said I don't think it will be that high. I think Miami is 5-7 in the East.
2. I also said it was a fair price. I wanted more anyway. Not every trade is done with perfect value on both sides. Sometimes one team get the better end of a deal. Like the Holiday trade.
3. Ok...
4. Are you implying the Sixers could trade him at the deadline? If not, I'm not sure what you are trying to say because the Sixers are a long ways off from being a contender. He was brought in to mentor Embiid and probably little else. If you are implying the Sixers could move him at the deadline, then why couldn't Minnesota trade him to anyone else? No one else wanted him. He's a quality defender, but nothing to write home about as a player.
I don't "hate" I give my opinions.

However based on the fact that he had a player option to resign for almost 10 million it unlikely he would have left after this year. Based on what players of his caliber will get on the open NBA market who would have given him 10 million?
I like Thad so essential we have traded him for a late first round pick. Maybe this works.
