Worthy traded to New England for late round pick. Sad waste of a high pick

Hope he makes the pats team so they get something out of it. It's funny after the draft I liked the worthy pick way more than Daniels. Drafts a crap shoot

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Re: Training Camp Thread
Sounds like Janis has been killing it lately. Have to think he locks down the #5 WR spot, rookies usually get more leeway in terms of making the roster under TT, plus he's making plays and is pretty high ceiling.
Think it will be Nelson/Cobb/Boykin/Adams/Janis.

I believe I read this morning that they started having Janis practice catching punts. If Janis can prove himself a reliable punt returner, I think he's definitely got the 5th spot locked up.

Yeah, with Jared out I think that Janis has a leg up on the #5 receiver spot.
Nelson, Cobb, Adams, Boykin, Janis, and practice squad Dorsey. I like Myles White but he's probably the odd man out. We're just so deep at WR.

I know this is a little off topic, but in this weeks Mass Dispatch the Green Bay Packers forum users were featured. So props to all

I think either way he has it locked up. 6'3" 220lb, 4.3 forty guys don't grow on trees and other teams who do their research will read some good things about him.

Re: Training Camp Thread
we have 2 threads talking about the same topic of #5 &6 WR
I don't think we are deep at WR at all. After Boykin its all unproven potential. Our 2nd rd pick Adams has been predictably slow in catching on - not uncommon among rookie WRs. I think we will carry 6 WRs on 53 man. IF any of our young WRs could return punts they would have a spot locked up but no-one has done that. IF no-one does then I think Janis & Dorsey will be 5 & 6 WR. None on PS.

Well he's been so bad on the outside he can't be any worse. Probably needs a big final preseason game just to make the team unless TT just can't force himself to part with that high of a draft pick this early

Re: Training Camp Thread
I know some don't like profootballfocus, but they currently have House, Elliot, and Tolzien ranked as one of the best at their positions. Elliot and House passed the eye test. Tolzien has had 5 drops go his way while also being 4 out of 5 on his 8 dropbacks while under pressure. He is also one of the most accurate if you take away drops, batted passes, and throw aways. Flynn has been... terrible. 12 of 24 in total with only 2 dropped passes. He 2 for 5 under pressure.

The big knock on Tolzien coming out of college was that his terrible arm strength. Somehow it seems like he has managed to build that up so with his good decision making I'd be fine with him holding a clip board for the next 8 years.

I can't believe they waited this long to make this move. There were posters and pundits saying that we probably drafted him TO move him inside. The fact that we are effectively giving him 1 week to figure out a new position is ludacrisp.

Agree overall, but I don't think they're expecting him to figure out the position, just hoping he'll show something resembling a natural aptitude to justify keeping him.

Ha. Sounds like they didn't want him to go another whole year without football.
