It's obvious we have too many 2 guards on the Hornet's Roster..Lance,Hendo,Neal,PJ, JT = 5

Dallas is loaded with SFs..We need another SF to compete against MKG to see if he is worth keeping?
Trade Checker 6507281 Aminu SF from Dallas for PJ Hairston (after 9-21-2014 )and after trial. Cuban goes for players like this..IE Felton...Aminu is in Contract year and has player option next year MKG has team option..Let them compete for starting 3 and JT as 3rd 3. AND GET RID OF PJ and his baggage.

Neal, Marvin, Taylor, Hairston for James Harden seems fair all around

Something involving Gary Neals expiring contract getting sent to the Wolves for Corey Brewer. Since they have a crazy amount of SFs
I don't know.

We've already got MKG, Lance, Hendo, Marvin, Hairston, and Taylor crowding the wings, not to mention Neal.
Brewer is pretty sucky though. Can't shoot at all and is simply decent defensively.

Neal for a PF or C, Wiz need some perimeter depth, and they have PF's and C's all over the place, maybe Neal for Drew Gooden or Kevin Seraphin

Henderson+Hairston+Taylor for Wilson Chandler+filler?
Kemba/Roberts/Pargo
Lance/Chandler/Neal
MKG/Chandler/Williams
Williams/Zeller/Vonleh
Jefferson/Biz/(vet)
Would Denver do it?
Would Cho do it?

If Charlotte really liked him and thought he was about to hit his stride they would have thrown more years at him. What does my crusade against Al have anything to do with my post, you're reading negativity that isn't there.
Smith (athletic defender) and Green (glue guy, decent shooter 6th man type) fill way more needs for Charlotte than another project big from Indiana does. The Smith hate on this board is too strong, he was closer to being an All-Star than anybody on our roster before the epic fail year in Detroit.
Its not necessarily about throwing more years at Lance. Hell, Indiana threw 5/44 at him. Years do not matter. 9/27 with a TEAM option at the end of that deal is just incredible. He could be a huge headache and still be more productive than Henderson ever thought about being, and hes still only 23. Hell, hes younger than Kemba is. Its an amazing contract. Him and his agent must have a ton of confidence in his skills to agree with us over Indianas deal. Thats for sure.
Edit: I like Josh Smith, alot. But his contract is just insane, and practically ludicrous at this point. I actually find it kind of funny that you would ever be willing to trade for Josh Smith and his contract, but was against Jefferson and what he got paid. Compare the two..
Before last season pretty much nobody would have said Jefferson is better than Smith. Now it is apparently a foregone conclusion that Smith is complete washed up garbage and Al is a franchise cornerstone/all-star/all-nba/superstar because the best basketball of his career led his team to a first round playoff exit via a sweep in the embarrassingly bad Eastern conference. I know you aren't as low on Smith as most but the general perception of him has gotten out of hand after such a short amount of time. If it wasn't for last season I would take Smith over Jefferson without question and even still I would probably still gamble on his potential rather than trying to build a team around Jefferson who has proven time and time again that he is not that good. Nothing Jefferson has done justifies him being a guy you pay a max contract and build around. We are the perfect fit for him because our standards were so low before last season.

Fit matters, Jefferson is a much better fit for this team than JSmoove would be.

Fair enough. I wasn't necessarily saying for our team I would take Smith over Al. I might if I was willing to wait a year or two to retool the team around having Smith instead of Al, but the foundation of chemistry and all that stuff we already have with Al is valuable and we are ready to make our push now.

Re: Fake Trade Thread 2014-15
Maybe not, we have a bunch of athletic players that are forced to play slow because of #Alfense, if we had Smith instead of Al we would play quicker which would help the team and our defense will be better.
kemba/lance/MKG/smith/biz is a hellish defensive lineup that should be a very good transition team
EDIT: But that team also has no go-to scorer so it will have to be a 3 way attack (Smith/Lance/Kemba) all scoring 15-20 ppg instead of Al dominating people 1v1

We would have to hold teams to 80 points because that group isn't scoring more than 85 a game. Smith will score you 17 but take a ton of shots to pull it off. All the pressure to create falls on Kemba and Lance and there is not scoring threat to take it off. No inside game and poor shooting would have us sitting around the 11 seed. Smith is a cancer. If we wanted a PF instead of Al we should have gotten Milsap who is better and cheaper.

If you were talking offense everyone would have said Jefferson was better than Smith. The perception of him is very deserved as he is a terrible offense is a problem for both Atlanta and Detroit. Once he lost Johnson he was exposed because he couldn't carry enough of the load to help them advance.

I completely disagree with this. I wouldn't be surprised if our offense was better with that lineup. Al forces us to play a style that contradicts the strengths of every other player on our team. Al gets his on offense but at the expense of everyone else and all the space he creates doesn't do anything for the rest of the team because he is a black hole and doesn't pass out of the post or even double teams most of the time. Our offense didn't skip a beat and at times was better when Al was out last year. If you take away Al and add a player who is a transition beast and a good passer who fits in perfectly with the style the rest of our roster needs then we might honestly be better offensively. I don't know why everyone thinks Al is some kind of offensive stalwart/necessity when our offense struggled even when he put up huge numbers and it has been the same story for every team he has been on his entire career.
