I would love to have MKG on this team right now, with Drummond and KCP we could be disgusting defensively for the next 10 years, aren't they all just 21 years old too?

Anyway, I went with Butler starting hoping his veteraness rubs off on Smith right at opening tip, Smoove playing smart ball at his natural position could be a huge difference maker for us. I still want Singler playing more minutes though.

That 16% 3pt shooting is intriguing  MKG would be awful for our spacing offensively. The lottery is risky business anyways, but it seems SFs are especially tough picks.

SFs out of this draft don't look as risky, Parker and Wiggins for example lol. The lottery has always been a crapshoot, I look at it like NCAA football, more about the system than the 5-star recruits. The Spurs for example go after guys they know have s place in the league, their system brings out the best a lot of times and they're not afraid to move up and grab a guy they really like, Leonard for example.

Even more important was that to get him they traded George hill who pop said was his favorite player and like a son to him.

So they are not afraid to flip players either

I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.

Singler. He's one of the few truly HIGH BB IQ guys we have on the squad. His best attribute is understanding both the offense and the flow of the game. He tends to be in the right spot to make the best play. Singler showed that sort of acumen at Duke, in international play, and with the Stones.

With a system in place that actually makes sense, he should proved to be an even greater asset to the team. While I agree he isn't the long term solution, he is still better than several available alternatives and he's versatile enough to slide into 4 positions for us (with very limited time at the one).

More skilled than Jerebko
Better all around player than Datome & Martin
Younger & more versatile than Butler
Younger, smarter, and more skilled than Smith

Josh Smith will always win, so let Caron Butler and Kyle Singler battle...

I was right there with you until you said Singler is more skilled than Smith. That just simply isn't true. He may be smarter, but not more skilled.

I really do value Singler though. He moves very well without the ball, makes the right play, can knock down shots from the perimeter, knows his limitations, and makes very few mistakes. As a 7th or 8th man on a good team, I don't think you could ask for much more. Put him on the spurs, and everybody would rave about him.

I think those things you just mentioned about Singler make him a perfect compliment to Monroe off the bench.

SF - we have a lot of choices, but none of them great. Singler is decent. He oughtn't be a starter on a team with championship dreams, but when you have no better options, you go with what you have.
