update on the charlotte soccer situation. seems like a big announcement is coming on 9/17 and the team is going to be named the charlotte independence (which is pretty cool since the stadium is located on what used to be independence blvd - also nod to charlotte's history with the mecklenburg declaration of independence.

Yep, they just debuted the series sometime last week.

Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't used it in the last month other than the PPV.

I accidentally started with the third episode. I didn't realize they had already release two others so I have to backtrack now.

Anybody interested in playing "GM A Team" over on the Trade and Transaction Game forum? If you don't know what it is, basically you take over a team as it stands right now, and you trade with 29 other GMs via email, instant message, or PMs, in hopes of improving your team's outlook, whether it's a great rebuild with tons of picks and young talent, or a dynasty-level team capable of winning several championships. We typically play two offseasons and end with the next year's playoffs. But since we're in the offseason now, I believe we will hold a 2015 season and playoffs, 2015 draft and offseason (complete with free agency and all of that), and a 2016 season and playoffs in this game. It's a ton of fun, so if anyone is interested, let me or one of the guys running the game know and we'll hook you up with all the details. There's a few spots left that we need to fill.

i am very disappointed in you guys for not forcing me to watch blue mountain state on netflix sooner. what the hell is wrong with you guys? i have plowed thru seasons 1 and 2 in the past 5 days. thad castle is the greatest.

they finally fixed the problem us mods were having accessing this board. its been so painful lately, taking 15 seconds to bring up every single page. now the forum is flying again. ive been so busy at work i dont have 15 seconds to spare. now i can tour the board, make 10 posts and be back working in a matter of minutes.

Arrest

In October 2009, Jones was taken into custody by Drug Enforcement Administration agents on charges of drug trafficking. He was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute.[2] On December 16, 2010, Jones pleaded guilty to conspiracy to sell more than 10,000 oxycodone pills. Jones was the "Hollywood connection" in a plot to illegally purchase and distribute the drug, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court.[3] Jones faced up to 21 years in federal prison.

On June 22, 2011, Jones was sentenced to 366 days in federal prison, receiving leniency from the Judge due to the "minor role" he played in the plot. Federal prosecutors had initially requested a 5-year prison term.[4] On December 6, 2011, Jones began serving his sentence at the Lompoc Correctional Complex in California. He was subsequently transferred to a federal community corrections facility in Long Beach, California.[5][6] He was released on October 12, 2012 after serving 10 months in prison.[7]

So what are the thoughts about the Washington Redskins here? Personally I would hate it if they changed the name and if it happens I expect a fall out to some of the other team names that are around.
