What you need to know for now is that Chuck Texas, HoppingforWiggins(formerly Klove), OhOhCristopher, and MadNESS will be running the game. Will it be a democracy?

Spoiler:
Nope.

We will do things mostly the same, but maybe with a small change here or there. We will get more details up in this space over the next couple days, but since everyone is always in a hurry to start the new game I thought I'd start signups before the last game finishes.

Please don't sign up if you aren't committed to keeping your roster page updated promptly, aren't going to respond to all emails, or will quit if you don't get your first choice of team or if a free agent chooses another team. Also, when you have issues, please let Ness, J Rocka, or myself know before creating drama on the board. We can and will help work things out.

Please sign up with name and email and then send me a list of your top 5 teams to pfunderburk1@cougarmail.collin.edu. Remember that the winner of this game will get their first choice, if HFW or OOC want their choice they will get to pick next for running the game and then we will do our best to get everyone a choice as high up their list as we can.

Hey! There was way more to it than that ....2nd place in the previous game, and my top 2 choices went to rookies who both quit (like I mentioned at the time would happen). Came back to check out how everything went...didn't think it'd end that badly, but I think giving consideration to proven guys who sign up first would makes sense...like it used to. Just my two cents. See ya'll next summer!

I'm sorry you still feel mistreated.

Here's how I feel as a Mod of this forum:

1. There is a reason we ask guys to give 5 choices. Obviously some teams are more popular than others. While I'd love to see everyone get their top or even their 2nd choice, its simply not realistic to expect. Getting your 3rd choice while not ideal hardly seems like the end of the world.

2. While I have the utmost respect and appreciation for all the regulars and guys who have been playing the games a long time, I don't think playing favorites over rookies is the right way to go. I don't like it at all when guys quit, but when you quit as well your complaint rings a little hollow.

3. First come/first serve is an option and maybe it will be something we look into in the future. I think it likely makes it even harder to fill games because guys might not want to sign up knowing they will get the teams no one else ever wants. But still its something worth exploring more.

4. You did a great job in coming in 2nd and I commend you. I actually won a game a couple games back and got my 3rd choice. Because we had a guy come back after not playing for a long time and he had won the last game he picked and Ness had won the game prior and we did a random draft so the team you were was irrelevent so he also got to pick ahead of me. I never saw it as a big deal. But I realize not everyone is me and care a lot more about what team they are. I do know however that multiple people including me offered to swap teams with anyone who wasn't happy with the one they got. I feel like an effort was made to allieviate the legit portion of your complaints.

5. We will welcome you back when you decide to return. If that's next summer, well, we'll keep a light on for you.

Good points here. But I will like to focus on the bold point. I'd like to sign myself up for the "give me any team" list, as I'd prefer to take an unpopular team and secure at least 2 spots in the game, rather than someone quitting and leaving and causing the game to possibly stagnate in it's start up, because no one really wants the... Nets (just an example).

P.S., I REALLY want the Nets and look forward to making them UN-BELIEV-BEAT-ABLE

Hopefully we can get those 8 guys over the Labor Day Weekend and be ready to go next week. Would be a bad time to start a game with the holiday weekend anyway. Invite your friends on the boards to give us a shot.

Or at least be a judge in the next trade tournament since we already have 8 contestants.

I've tried and failed in the past. Maybe Bish can talk him into it?

As first timer, I'd love to participate. What teams are left?

Just send in a list of 5 teams you'd like to be to CT

Odds are you'll get one of those 5 teams

We have 26, with Cklbmk and with Scott taking a 2nd team. We either need 4 more or people take a second team.

We are almost there guys.

Ok, that gives us 27 total teams taken then.

Only need 3 more teams to be taken.
