Neal actually has a pretty solid basketball IQ. If anyone has a low basketball IQ, or low IQ period its Hairston.

Neal does NOT have a high basketball IQ. If he had solid IQ he'd still be with the Spurs and he would be an impact player in the league, not doing his best Ben Gordon impression.

Neals basketball IQ is just fine, and has been praised by Popovic and Clifford alike. But thats your opinion ;)

It might be alright but it appears once every 5 or 6 games.

What are the coaches supposed to say? "Yeah, Neal was a total idiot and his basketball IQ only just beats out Ben Gordon's"?

No, but they don't have to go out of their way to say it either.

I don't foresee either one getting much PT regardless.

There is no way you can tell me Neal has a solid BBIQ, and we still need to see PJ play a real NBA game before we make that judgement. That play at the end of the playoffs vs the Heat where Neal passed CDR the ball with like 5 seconds left then ran right next to him causing wade to double team CDR and steal the ball which cost the game was atrocious.

Im not saying hes Tim Duncan, but hes not JR Smith either.

And I won't tell you, although I already have. Ill just go by what his current and previous coach has said.

Surely there are better things to discuss though

We need to make a trade with Neal or Hendo or both for some legit backup PG and PF depth. Those will be our weakness all season just like last year until it's fixed. At least we finally have a starting SG not named Hendo. That should go a long way. I guess Stephenson will be our backup PG in disguise between the rotations. We'll be weak at backup SF too if we're depending on Taylor to be serviceable. Our starting lineup got better as long as Zeller start over Marvin but our bench is currently a crapshoot.

Agreed. I watched Brian Roberts a few times last season. Hes very savvy, and a fantastic shooter. He also filled in pretty well as a starter.

I like our PF depth. Zeller is fine, and Williams is going to be OK as well. Plus we have Vonleh, who although raw can contribute some minutes here and there. We aren't starting Tim Duncan or anything, but we will OK there T PF.

Top to bottom I really, really like our roster right now.

You also have to give to receive a good player. We don't have anything or anyone I am willing to part with other than maybe picks.

What would it take for Denver to land Cody Zeller?

Good luck. Rich Cho loves the guy.

Most everyone on here hates him though and would give him away for a bag of noodles.

:roll: :roll: Some interesting comments about Neal,PJ and Zellar. The facts are;
1. IF POP likes Neal He's a keeper.
2. Hendo is a good insurance policy should Lance not pan out.
3. IF Cho loves Zellar keep him.
4. PJ has a low basketball IQ..also a low IQ overall.

I wonder what we could get back for PJ and BIZ in a trade?

he's probably our least valuable starter this season, but long term he could be worth more than big al. so it's hard to place a price on him. plus we don't really have room for role players at 1-3 positions, so there's not much we want. not that the team is perfect or even really great, it's just a mess of above average

Zeller and Neal for Chandler will do it. Hell, I'll do Zeller for Quincy Miller and Darrel Arthur.

Wot? I'm the biggest Al hater on this board and even I wouldn't go close to saying something like that. Cody's best case scenario long-term is like Jeff Foster.

Yuck. Darrell Arthur is bad and Quincy Miller has never truly cracked an NBA rotation though I like his potential. Zeller is better, but I agree with TKoS, Chandler would certainly interest me but only if Marvin Williams was included
