Ainge will probably try to demand a superstars ransom for him. But I would definitely trade Moose for him if we could and if Rondo doesnt stay then we will still have alot of capspace next year anyways.

Ainge is a stingy scumbag when it comes to trades. Look at what he got from trading a broke down KG and one year of Paul Pierce.

Boston would likely demand we give them Drummond and one or two first round picks.

Rondo isn't worth more than a future first round pick, in my opinion.

Without actually looking at the salaries....

Rondo/Green/(Sullinger or Olynyk)

for

Monroe/Jennings/Jerebko

I could go for that.

I actually think we do have a shot. S&T Monroe, Singler, 2 future first round picks for Rondo and a filler. Rondo wants to play with Josh Smith too so that may influence a trade. We can look to trade Jennings throughout the year.

Rondo/Augustin
Caldwell-Pope/Meeks
Butler/Caldwell-Pope
Smith/Jerebko
Drummond/Gray

We would need to upgrade at SF and the backup big man positions but that would give us a very good defensive starting 5 and a balanced roster all around. Hopefully SVG tries to make a splash with this.

The big problem would be Monroe willing to sign with a depleted BOS team. If BOS is willing to give him close to the max maybe Monroe will accept giving it a shot with a new organization who has had recent success.

Monroe/Bynum/Singler/2015 first/2017 first for Rondo/Green?

Man we would be so much better if we could pull that trade off.

Yeah I think it would vault us into the 4th or 5th seed this year. We would just need someone to back up at the PF and C positions.

We would still have Jennings after the trade so maybe we could trade him for a backup PF/C lol

Would Monroe sign with Boston? Is he buddies with Green at all?

I don't bring in Rondo without moving out Jennings.

Monroe/Jennings for Rondo/Bass. Boston fans will balk, but that's all I'd give up at this point. Jenning is only signed for two more seasons (one after this one) at $8M per.

Rondo|Augustin|Bynum|Dinwiddie
Meeks|Caldwell-Pope
Singler|Butler|Martin|Datome
Smith|Bass|Jerebko
Drummond|Gray
Weaver = Hinkie

We should facilitate a trade to the Kings that would make Rondo actually want to resign in Sacramento.

To Kings: Rondo, Smith
-Kings lose two first round picks to form a lineup of Rondo-Gay-Smith-Cousins

To Celtics: McLemore, resigned Monroe, Terry
- Get rid of their star PG for Monroe and McLemore

To Pistons: Derrick Williams, Reggie Evans, Thompson, Sullinger, Faverani
- We dump Smith and then would have to make another trade / waive players (Williams, Bynum, etc)

Jennings / Augustin - Bynum
KCP / Meeks
Singler / Butler - Williams - Martin
Sullinger / Thompson - Jerebko
Drummond / Faverani - Gray

I would not do this trade, I'm not trading both Smith and Monroe and only getting those guys back. Just to help the kinds get rondo? I would rather just keep both guys then do that trade. I would think about doing that trade if it had Olynyk coming to Detroit.

At this point we are going to lose Monroe for nothing so the trade breaks down into:
- Monroe for Sullinger (13/8 last year), Faverani
- Smith for Williams, Thompson, Evans - shave 6.5M off Smith's deal, get a great back up PF in Thompson

You couldnt find one team in the NBA that would take on Rondo, Green, AND Wallace besides Detroit
If Boston really wants to tank Id pull the trigger on this deal.

To Detroit: Rondo, Green, Wallace, Sullinger, Faverani

To Boston: Monroe (13M a year), Jennings, Jerebko, Bynum, Datome, Singler

Rondo / Augustin
Meeks / KCP
Green / Butler - Martin - Wallace
Smith / Sullinger
Drummond / Faverani

Pretty sure Monroe can't be packaged with any other player in a sign and trade

There is one benefit of having Josh Smith. He is friends with Rondo
