I hate dumbasses on this team.

Our defense is going to be missing a lot of starters. Hopefully the young guys can step up (Borland, Dial, Lynch, Lemonier, etc)

49ers DE Ray McDonald was arrested on felony domestic violence charges at 5:30am Sunday morning.

Sources tell NBC Bay Area news reporter Damian Trujillo that McDonald's alleged victim was pregnant. He was officially booked for "inflicting injury on a spouse or cohabitant." Furthermore, the San Jose police are reportedly saying that there were other 49ers players present at the time of the incident. Note that Roger Goodell just finished apologizing to owners about how he handled the Ray Rice situation, and promised to enforce a more stringent set of rules for domestic violence that includes a six-game ban for first offenders. McDonald, who also got a DUI in 2010, has started 45 games over the last three seasons for the Niners.

IF they do suspend, hopefully they do it early. If it is 6 games and it takes until week 4-6 to suspend, we miss him for the Seattle game(s).

I'm shocked with the stupidity of players. Tank and Dial need to step up. All these suspensions and injuries are piling up. I keep thing the 49ers are turning into the 90s Cowboys. I hope this doesn't turn into a bunch of loses.

For what it's worth, I'm told there were other 49ers on hand when police arrived at Ray McDonald's home but Aldon Smith was not one of them.

Vernon Davis is a little bit of a surprise. He doesn't seem to be around **** bags.

Dobbs isn't a surprise. He seems to be around a lot of stuff. He's got the DUI and wasn't he present with the whole Ahmad Brooks/Keys/Hit a guy in the head with a bottle thing too?

It will be interesting to monitor this situation. A lot of DV arrests aren't actually charged, and many of those that are arrested or charged on felony DV end up resolving for misdemeanors. Of course, the new policy doesn't seem to draw any distinctions of that sort. Though for what it's worth, if it's being charged as a felony, there were presumably some decent injuries.

Gotta say, I know it happens a lot, but I just don't get domestic violence. Especially against the woman who is carrying your child....

Aaaaannnnddd it figures this happens right after Goodell decides to drop the hammer on DV and right after we restructure his contract guaranteeing him more money.

I wonder if this incident impacts that in anyway as if the team could go after it if he is cut which I believe is a strong possibility with the team being embarrassed again and Harbaugh saying he doesn't tolerate violence against women.

I don't see the big deal about other 49ers being present or putting any type of blame on the. They were over at a teammate's place. The domestic assault (assuming it happened) could have come suddeningly and unexpectantly, to where the other players hadn't had time to react or prevent it.

Not disputing the incident, but if he's on suspicion without proof does that still fall under the new DV law that goodell passed?

I agree they aren't complicit if they are simply on site......however I will be disappointed if folks had the opportunity to intervene and didn't. I'm not a fan of dudes hitting on women. Uncalled for in all instances.
