Yeah it's weird it literally went from nowhere to everywhere just within the last bit. Must be a news service finally distributed it and everyone was sleeping on the typical Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend news release.

It could be someone from here tipped off a couple of Celtics beat writers / bloggers then it just spread like wildfire on Twitter.

It comes across as very catty to me. Her first response to Frank suggesting Rondo will be traded? "I hope so" She then follows up with nobody believing her.

I respect Jackie and like everything she does, but folks seem to be giving her a pass simply because of her prior work. Why can't we question what she actually knows? She has admittedly taken a step back over the years to watch her kids grow up and I haven't read or listed to anything recently to suggest she is still as tuned in to the org.

This comment isn't something that you mention during a commercial break, but one that ESPN would be bashing us over the heads with on air/online

Maybe that's what she means when she says no one believes her, haha. When ESPN doesn't even believe you enough to report on it, then you know something may be off. Plenty of people in this thread are questioning her, but she does have a good reputation still. I'm not willing to pass on everything she says, but I also don't take everything she says as 100% real.

This is best news I heard all summer, it's time for him to go, he's getting up there in Age on a young rebuilding team, we have Smart now, he's the future.

I have been saying forever that a Rondo is going to be traded, but people started verbally attacking me and others who dare say rondo is gone. I along with others called Pierce and KG trade way before they got traded. Reasons being they were too old to help us contend/ win championships.

I get they are people who are Rondo fans and can't stand when people say he is going to be traded, I get that, but let's be realistic for a moment here . They're more factors that point to Rondo being traded than him staying.

1. He is going to want a max contract or close to it and Danny Ainge wouldn't give him that.

2. The Celtics are rebuilding, why have rondo on a team that's in a rebuilding mode. By the time we are good again, rondo would have been past his prime.

3. Rondo is not a star player. Good player, but can't carry a team by himself ala Lebron, Duncan, Durant. He needs other players better than him to bring out the best in him. Ala Pierce and KG. Rondo is gone, we just have to hope we get a good / equal value for him and Marcus Smart turns into a nice player.

Also take with this a grain of salt, but Tspsnce is reporting that the Kings backed out of a deal in place because rondo said he wouldn't re-sign with them. This is exactly why I'm not in favor of giving any player a No trade Clause.

Ha ha. I edited it. I was going to add that he doesn't have the leadership / maturity to be a franchise player, but thought better of it. You know how this forum operates. Lol.

Agreed. Seemed like fake dialogue and Jackie was uninformed enought to think Isaiah Thomas still played for Sac.

This reminds me or the treatment of Paul Pierce in order to transform him into more of a leader.

If Rondo is really that unlikeable I expect the team will wait until deadline and either get a good deal or let him walk.

Sometimes I think it's a matter of phrasing and also taking things too personally for you, Afam. Most debates have been fairly civil for a while now.

In this instance I will say everyone on the board has been aware that there is a chance that Rondo is traded, plenty of arguments can be made for it. I don't think this one Jackie interview really changes anything at all myself.

What are you even doing here? You're a Thunder fan. Focus on how you're going to get past the Spurs/Clippers.

For the record I know that's not a realistic trade, but it isn't because of the addition of Len, and its nothing crazier than some recent big trades.

You and your two (I gave you one) and1s can focus on getting to the WCF
