Sometimes drafts look great before the rookies actually play NBA game then it turns out it sucked and sometimes it's the other way around.

I think we should at least watch these guys play real NBA games before coming to any definitive conclusion.

exactly that was my whole point

Draft is always about "What could be"

and in terms of Potential its clearly up there...

Parker is almost a Lock to have a simmillar Career to Pierce,Melo
Embiid if Healthy will be an All Star Center at least considering that the Position is not that strong, but his ceiling is enormous
Wiggins should reach at least a Paul George Level as a two way All Star

no thats not Lebron,Wade,Melo.. but there is a good chance we get 2 or 3 HoFmers out of this draft.. not on the MJ,Lebron,Duncan Level.. but on the Pierce,Mourning,Payton Level.. not top 10 all time Players but Hofmers nonetheless

Plenty of all star potential up at the top and mega deep with role players.

Embiid, Wiggins, Exum, Parker have potential to be top 10 players in the league.

Vonleh, Gordon and Smart will bust IMO but at least some people think they will be stars.

Randle has all star potential.

McDermott and Stauskas should already be decent NBA players.

Payton, McGarry, Anderson, Adams, Hood, Hairston, Harris, Payne, Warren all look like they should become good rotation players.

LaVine and Coboclo have uber high ceilings (and low floors).

I think this is the best since 03.

You really think Wiggins' upside is a better Terrence Ross? You are comparing an athletic and physical freak, first pick overall, to a 3 and d role player? Why not just call the kid a very rich man's Brian Scalabrine?

terrance is also an elite athlete and physical freak. hence the comparison. i think ross may be a better finisher at this point too.

Well, in fairness, Ross is 4 years older than Wiggins...

Wiggins is just a different specimen - his wingspan is absurd. Wiggins, due to his speed and aggression will be getting to the line far more than Ross who averaged just one FT per game...

I'll never understand this. Exum looks awful all summer but has a quick first step so he'll be a superstar. But these 3 guys will bust.

You don't understand this, because its ridiculous. He's a PG who doesn't distribute and a SG who has a broken shot, and just an average athlete by NBA SG standards. He isn't going to be a star. Hopefully, he'll have a decent career.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Exum has the POTENTIAL, yes his floor is also lower than some guys but his ceiling is very high.

He's got great length, great athleticism and already has fantastic court vision/passing skills. He gets to the rim very well and has a mechanically sound jump shot which should develop well.

Gordon and Vonleh are very raw without any real elite/defining qualities and my views on Smart and how he will translate to the NBA are well documented.

Exum to me has a great first step. Everything else hasn't been proven at all. He has one obvious (probably elite) skill, he's fast off the dribble.

Gordon is an elite athlete, that seems to be his one elite skill. Butttttt he's not a 6'6 guy playing point guard so it doesn't really matter I guess.

No, it doesn't matter in the same sense - There have been many players like Gordon who have come, failed and gone.

6'6 PG's with explosive first steps, finishing ability and court vision very rarely come around.

This is my point.

Where are we getting this from? He has looked like he's never played basketball all summer. He's a 6'6 basketball player with an explosive first step.

There have been many of those that have come, failed and gone.
