Victor Valdes to be a Liverpool player by October and we're targeting Rabiot in January. This never stops lol.

Cleverley would've been perfect for Everton. Bobby Martinez would do wonders with him.

Lewandowski, Benatia, Xabi Alonso, Bernat, Rode, Reina (Kurt)
for
Kroos, Mandzukic, Contento, van Buyten (and a bunch of youth players sold or loand: Schöpf, Raeder, Green).
The funny thing is, that Bayern did make a money in the process (in €50.1m, out €53.4m).
The last two signings were excellent. There isn't even a hint of a hole now. And they have managed to save themselves from Dante.
You could discuss the right back. Pep sees Lahm mainly in the midfield and Rafinha is injured.

Re: Transfer Thread 10.0- The Deadline Aftermath
Jorge Mendes is really one of a kind. Real apparently got sick of him, so now he is playing with United:

http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/angel ... fidencial/?
El Confidencial is a Spanish broadsheet newspaper but they often come up with some fairly speculative and outlandish claims.
But, if we have learnt one thing from this summer’s transfer window, it is that super agent Jorge Mendes is arguably the most important man in European football.
On Thursday, El Confidencial claim that Manchester United were able to sign Radamel Falcao as a consequence of Angel Di Maria’s farewell letter to Real Madrid after the Argentine signed on at Old Trafford.
After joining Manchester United from Real Madrid, Angel Di Maria wrote a farewell letter to Los Blancos fans where he effectively blamed the club for his departure, in Spanish newspaper Marca.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez did not understand why Di Maria had written this letter and was annoyed that his agent Jorge Mendes had allowed this to occur.
Mendes is of course also Radamel Falcao’s agent and the Colombian striker was heavily linked with Real Madrid during July and August.
Falcao was desperate to join Real Madrid and El Confidencial report that this move broke down due to Angel Di Maria’s farewell letter.
The Los Blancos hierarchy did not understand why Di Maria had this letter published in Marca, when Mendes represents Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Fabio Coentrao – three key players at the Bernabeu.
As a result, and as a matter of principle, Real Madrid allowed Radamel Falcao to join Manchester United and signed Javier Hernandez instead.
Undoubtedly, the big winners of the Jorge Mendes spat with Real Madrid are Manchester United who have signed two world class players.
And, the latest rumblings from Cristiano Ronaldo, who has questioned Real Madrid’s summer recruitment policy and publicly declared his desire to return to Manchester United, are believed to be linked.

Re: Transfer Thread 10.0- The Deadline Aftermath
Ronaldo's on contract through 2018
If he wants to leave, sure that'll blow for a while but as sad as it makes me, I'm sure once he's on the wrong side of 30, Madrid won't hesitate to move him for a metric **** ton of cash and bring in someone like Reus to replace him on the wings. It's dumb, but it's exactly what Perez would do.
We'll probably regret not paying Di Maria but he wanted the kind of money only Ronaldo and Messi are really worth. Sure he looked to be even more dominant in the friendly yesterday so this is going to sound crazy, but once United's honeymoon phase with him is over, they'll realize why people are saying they overpaid for him. With Madrid, he never showed the kind of consistency required to invest that much money in a single player.
Also, word in Spain (quoting Falcao's father) says Madrid decided they weren't willing to pay so much just for a loan deal.

Looks like Ronaldinho is headed to LigaMX in Mexico. Signing with Queretaro, of all teams. That means a dream Cuauhtemoc Blanco vs Ronaldinho matchup in two weeks when Queretaro goes against Puebla.

I may have to watch ligamx for the first time in years just to see if the two legends walk off the pitch at half time sharing a few beers or if they wait until they're off of the pitch to cheers one another before "getting their mind right" for the second half.

Nope. Can't stand United. My wife bought me a Falcao United jersey. UGH. So ugly with that stupid Chevrolet logo. I am still on deployment so I told her to return it.
I do wish him luck and hope they make the Champions League just to finally see him play in the CL, but my alliance is with Chelsea. We are looking good!

United's recruitment strategy almost exclusively was to throw money at Mendes clients or players Van Gaal has worked with before. Mendes has Woodward on a leash

You should get a Joao Rodriguez Chelsea shirt. You'll probably wear it more times than he ever will lol

It was either that or having the clueless Glazers running Woodward. Mendes single-handedly saved this team from 2 decades of Liverpool mediocrity. For that we should be thankful.

Tottenham are actually the Raptors under MLSE and their puppet BC. Knicks are more like Aston Villa.

United is similar to the Lakers. After a century of success a rapid change in the most important person at the clubs retires (Ferguson/Jackson) and the successors fail to continue the business. While trying to rebuild they struggle to add the right balance to the teams and the supposed superstars acquisitions are either redundant to the existing star players and their position (Dwight, Pau/Rooney, van Persie, Falcao, Kagawa, Mata) or fail (Nash/Fellaini).
