Wow. I'm not sure that's the best idea. Some animations of theirs look odd, especially for depictions of high-level athletes running down the floor. A person who watches basketball would see it and immediately notice something wrong. Or at least they should - some animations look like if they got a hunched over, middle aged, injured man to run. Some layup animations look like they've been mo-capped by people who've never played basketball. It's pretty bad.

I guess Lowry doesn't exist.

His shot timing in online games was messed. You had to let go of the shoot button/stick after he released the ball, which doesn't make sense.

And to remind everyone, 2K overall ratings should not be used to compare against other players. The weighting of each attribute in relation to overall rating is vastly different and arbitrary (for example, 3pt rating for a PF is worth much less than for an SG, so you'll see someone like Dirk ranked lower in overall score).

Which is totally stupid since 3pt shooting PF is one of the most in-demand player types in the league

Anyways 2k series has been going downhill for 2-3 years now. the fact they make you pay money/VC points to 'unlock' players on blacktop arcade mode is one of the most ridiculous things i've ever seen in a video game.

Having seen 2k ratings in action before, I can tell you, with certainty, that Amir Johnson will be one of the lowest rated players on the team and, contrary to real life, be a liability in the game.

Yeah, pretty sure even in the end of year ratings in 2k14 he was worse than Hansbro and Patterson. Lou Williams is a 78 and Hamilton is a 70, imagine both will dive now that they are Raptors, but not right away. Vasquez and Patterson are very useful in 14. Then again so is Landry Fields.

Actually Amir might stand a chance of being re-evaluated. 66 3pt SA might be enough for them to reflect he can score in other ways than just hustle baskets.

3Pt% and defense gave Bruno the edge. Wiggins shot looks terrible.

I didn't watch summer league but Caboclo played better defense than Wiggins? Whenever people praise Wiggins they always seem to mention his defensive potential.

as much as i like the potential in Bruno.. he won't be the next "KD" , yes.. dont come at me with he'll be the next 'Bruno' obviously, but his athleticism n speed is .. way lower than KD's, and top it off, hes not as good a ball handler as kd is too. He may shoot the 3 decently.. sort of? But this is what they meant by 2yrs from being 2 yrs.. yep.. He'll be a decent nba player by his 3rd-4th year probably.

He's an unknown to everyone except us right now... this is expected.. I thought his rating would be in the 50's tbh.

No issues with it because he won't be seeing much time with us until he's ready and able to understand the NBA game. I think he's going to be a Batum-esque player for us in his prime. He's the youngest player in the NBA if I'm not mistaken, so there's no issue with it. Let the world find out what he can do.

I just hope they've updated our team rankings and the individual player rankings... our entire starting line should be high 70s/80s. JV and Amir were both like 68 last season... that's ridiculous.

To be honest, it's not that bad. Most animator should have a degree of knowledge to how humans move (physics are the rules), when i say he doesn't watch basketball i meant he doesn't take an interest to the sports itself, like knowing who was drafted, who won the ECF, who bruno is... etc. I am sure the animators at least studies how basketball players move about the court when they first got the job.

Besides, majority of the movements are captured by motion capture (the suit with little sensored attached) the animators would just deal with tweeking/adding details/transitions between actions.
