I dont see why someone would do that in the 2nd round. I mean you have the top pick in the 1st, so you would be looking at someone that has a late 1st round pick to trade with. The idea that someone would want to have their 1st two picks being late rounder just blows my mind. I mean the first couple of guys you draft mean the most to your team.

Also, trading draft picks has to be 1 for 1, you cant trade 1 pick for 2 picks.

I had a late pick in the second last year, and had a deal on the table to move up a few spots.

It's doable. Also having back to back picks is bonus. Alot of people like that

I've already pretty much decided who I'm going to draft with the 7th pick. I figure there will still be good players left at the middle of each round.

Is that the draft order for the D-league??

As in I have pick 1?
Because the premium league says it's the draft order for them... Numbers and all.

So I'm assuming d-league is also numerical draft order?

I dont believe Mik has done that draft order yet, or else he would have posted on it with a screenshot of it being done. Usually i inform the board that im doing it first, that way when the next post is only a few minutes later with a screen shot you know that it was done.

That's right - draft order hasn't been set yet, so the league members are just listed in the order from Kerrsed's original post. Once SS joins the Yahoo league I'll finalize it, announce that it's randomization time and post a screenshot of the process!

Looking at starting the D-League draft on October 1 - that's when we started last year. Anyone opposed, speak now or forever hold your peace!

This gives us plenty of time after FIBA ends, etc, plus time to strategize after the draft order is set...speaking of which, I am keeping an eye on Yahoo and as soon as SS joins I will have the draft order out shortly.

Agree on officially starting the draft on October 1, but IMO we should start "unofficially drafting" (drafting without the clock on) a few days before that, say September 25.

That way we get to have more flexibility in trading early round picks, without the pressure being on yet. The FIBA world cup will also be finished by then

I like this idea and think i might implement it into the Premier League Draft ( dont remember what the time frame was last year with the "unofficially drafting"). It would also give Nevet a chance to draft a few people before he is AWOL and having Casper Ware and Brandon Davies auot-drafted for him.
