That's because Elena missed 18 games, and only started 9 for the Sky this season. They were 5-13 in those games without her, 10-6 with her in the lineup.

It's unfortunate Delle Donne is a believer in woo-woo.
Step 1: instead of "ass" say "buns." Like "kiss my buns" or "you're a buns-hole."
Woj: The NBA's Dickie Dunn.

Didn't realize they got the 5th pick. Wow.

Perfect season! They tanked and might win the title.

For those who may not understand - Lyme Disease is a real thing, but there are legitimate questions about whether or not chronic is a legitimate illness. Most Dr's believe it to be a 'catch-all' for any host of symptoms that can't be easily explained.

Lyme Disease is usually cleared up in less than a month with a course of antibiotics. People with chronic Lyme disease report Lyme disease like symptoms for years after the initial infection.

'Post Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome' is a more generally recognized diagnosis where people with previous treatment for Lyme Disease experience occasional relapses (usually within 6 months).

*Edited because I mixed up the PTLDS and 'chronic'.

Yes it's a little suspect. She may be getting medical advice from people who don't know what they are talking about. Common in good Chicago basketball players.

Regardless, another Chicago team is playing for a championship and it feels pretty damn good.

Covering the Sky is entirely different from covering the Bulls. I feel like I have more of a connection with the Sky. It's a lot more welcoming. Pokey, Elena, Sloot, Allie, Bre, and Syl are all great people. I couldn't be happier. Win or lose the Finals, this is the start of something special. They are a young talented team with the 5th pick in the draft next year. They're only going to get better.

We have a potential dynasty on our hands. I just hope the city and the media hops on board for it.

I'm definitely on board. Cheers to covering the Sky too. I want to get tickets for Sunday's game. Football be damned.

Nah, she went quack-shopping. She goes to Connecticut to see a quack.

Yep, if it were another player, they would have asked them to get a second opinion from a local professional. Probably can find a decent doctor in Chicago.

Logistics question, does the team have to pay for her to travel to Conn and see the 'doctor', if they are paying, whoever is paying normally gets a vote.

If she's seeing a specialist in Connecticut, it makes it far more likely that she has some real problems and attempted to get help through the traditional medical system, had that fail, and then went looking for other things.

I've known several people who've had pretty significant problems which were helped by alternative medical practices that weren't helped by traditional western medicine.

I also agree that a lot of it is quackery, my ex-wife saw a bunch of these people when the Western medicine world completely failed her. After seeing a lot of problems my ex went through, you find that once you're out of the bounds of the most standard care that things often get challenging. Many of the things she was prescribed made her problems considerably worse. In many respects, I think she'd have been better off had she just never gotten medical help at all from the Western world.

I do think much of the alternative stuff is crap, but I can't say any of it was harmful. I wish I could say the same of western medicine. Figure out how they prescribe drugs and how they're motivated to do so and it's scary as hell.

I don't care if she is seeing a specialist in Voodoo and roots, so long as it helps her.
Different people respond to different types of treatments.

Yes. My ex wife had a lot of medical problems prior to our marriage, during our marriage, and they continue after our marriage as far as I can tell.
