Outside of games needed to make the playoffs, can't remember a regular season game I've wanted the Packers to win more.

Have to win the turnover battle for sure. Balanced, long drives using our running game. We can't get pass happy this game and I don't think we will.

31-21 Packers

Putting the over/under on Eddie Laceys rushing yards at about 115 and am tempted to take to over on it. Outside of the obvious turnover battle, (betting on zero by both teams tonight), It really comes down to whether we can contain Lynch and whether they can stop Lacey. If Lacey ends up running wild that only mean a longer day for the LoB secondary with Rodgers being backed up by a strong run game. I think we're able slow Lynch down enough that Wilson won't be able to keep up and we score a TD late in the 4th to put the game out of reach.

I'm worried MM and Rodgers go pass happy if they don't get immediate success with Lacy. We've seen it before. We need to wear down there lineman and get our OL mauling downhill.

Anxious to see how clay and peppers perform. Seattle is starting a rookie on the line and their line in general isnt great at pass pro. If we can slow lynch down and force seattle into passing situations, I really like the packers chances. Just can't let wilson break free like kaepernick. 27-21 packers. Rodgers Leads a 4th quarter TD drive. Hits Cobb for the game winning TD!

This game is shaping up to be one of those where McCarthy gets outcoached. I think it's another version of last year's opener where McCarthy comes in expecting to stop the run and they end up throwing for 400 yards. I think Wilson lights us up.

Obviously hope I'm completely wrong.

Agreed. I hope we don't see McCarthy panic mode no huddle/Aaron running for his life too early in the game. I don't think our small interior line and slow inside backers will be able to stop the run on turf to get the bawks into 3rd and long. We might keep things close if the refs spot us a few calls early on their dbags. I do think Dick Rogers and JBoykin have good games though.

Today we'll see the emergence of our new improvements -
Matthews and Peppers as a dominant pass rush duo
Peppers flawless holding the edge against the run.
Hyde as solid play-making S with sure tackles and interception.
Pennel as monster NT taking control of the interior line
A dynamic punt return unit w/ Cobb going for a TD
A unstoppable run game with Lacy & Starks running for combined 200 yds
A surprising rookie TE Rodgers who gets YAC and some annihilating blocks
A nail down rookie C Linsley who had 1 early error then was flawless

only 1 injury - Carl Bradford who was inactive but tripped on the sideline

Curious to see how much Peppers plays. Hope they keep him rested and use him in spots to help him stay effective.

Luckily, we don't have McMillian and Jennings starting for us like we did week one against the 49ers, and we have Casey back. The talent level in the secondary is world's better. McMillian had one of the worst games ever for a Packers' safety in the opener.

I'm worried about us not getting proper coverage on crossing routes, but then again Hayward is back and he is phenomenal at underneath coverage. He allowed a 30.4 passer rating in '12. And House is the freaking 4th CB, he would probably start for all teams in our division (at least be the nickle.) Burnett just needs to perform and Hyde needs to not let a WR get behind him.

Our secondary is damn good. More worried about ILB's in coverage over the middle and stopping the run in terms of defensive concerns. I think our pass rush out of Matthews/Peppers/Jones/Daniels/Neal/Perry and our coverage out of S/CB will be good. But I am concerned about the middle of the D up front.

For the game I am guessing the MVP will be Brandon Mebane, since I am predicting the Seahawks to win... sadly. :(

Packers MVP I guess I will go out on a limb and predict that Aaron Rodgers guy.
