Off to a strong 6.89 score early on. Highest so far...

How in the hell did Hayward get a better score than Rondo? Flawed system is flawed.

Re: Klay Thompson Value Score
You think Rondo currently has higher value? Even as a rental, coming off injury and a season he was less than good?
I'm perfectly fine with the result myself. (but even then the two scores are essentially tied)

Were either an option? I'd have to give Klay to get Aldridge...except salary match is a fail. We can't TRADE Curry or Lee for Klay..who we have.. makes no sense. G Wallace? Mayo? what the F? Just say..F off...don't waste time on some G Wallace stuff. GSW has a PG..Curry...so...why even want to pay Holiday as a spare PG? I ain't seeing a better SG and any other goodies. Not sure what the hell this is about.
CENSORED... No comment.

Re: Klay Thompson Value Score
I put Horford, purely because of the injury factory. 2 of the last 3 years he missed significant amounts of time. On capability and skill alone, he's better than Thompson, but Thompson is an ironman (and 4 years younger), so that tips me over the edge. If Horford didn't have the injury history, my answer would have been Holiday.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

I assume the basic premise of this is "you have only 1 person on the roster, his name is Klay Thompson. Everybody on this list has the same contract as Thompson. Assuming that the quality of potential players you could trade Thompson for, which is the first one you wouldn't trade Thompson for?"
It's phrasing it a different way, but the same result.
I'm saying I wouldn't trade Curry or Aldridge for Thompson, but would trade everybody else on the list for Thompson.

You clearly aren't getting the point of these threads.
The question is regarding the VALUE of player X compared to the value of player Y.
Forget what teams they play for - but if they were all available in trade right now, which of the listed players in the poll would you trade for the guy the thread is about (in this case Thompson).
I wouldn't trade anyone above Matthews for him, and I wouldn't take anyone below Matthews for him (including Matthews, but that can change depending on their future contracts).
You're looking at it as in "GS has Klay, we don't need another PG with Curry on board so Holiday doesn't have value to us..." etc. That's not the point of the thread. I hope that makes it a bit clearer, sorry that was the best I could do in trying to explain it.
Jazzfan might be able to do a much better job.

Yes, looking at it objectively, I do.
He's the much better overall player, plays a more important position, and is not signed to a max contract.
There is no reason to believe he will get a max. The market for point guards is different than every other position.
How many point's make the max? Paul, Westbrook, Rose, Wall, Irving.... no body else as far as I can recollect.
There are just WAY too many good point guards, so I don't believe Rondo will be paid the max even if he wants it.
With that in mind, his rental status means very little because his future deal may still be better value for his production than Hayward. Add in the fact that he's the much better player as I already mentioned, and I don't see why it should even be close.
Hayward is an overpaid role player.
Rondo is a star about to be locked in again.
You can argue using Rondo's attitude, injury history or lack of shooting as well as how his poisition is over saturated, but he's clearly top 10 PG in the NBA and one of the best defenders and facilitators. You can't say that about any of Hayward's qualities. Hayward is average everywhere, and in my mind, an average in all aspects player should not have anywhere near the value as a star that excels in multiple facets of the game.
Just my two cents.
