Re: Jabari Parker Value Score
I really like Parker a lot. I think he's going to be really good for a long time. Maybe not an all-timer or anything, but I think he'll be really good. If nothing else, I think he'll be an elite level scorer. Especially once his body gets in to full NBA shape. I remember at one point people said Paul Pierce was doughy too. He's had a Hall of Fame career. They aren't the same player, but I think Parker will be big time.

I'd have to think very closely about whether I'd trade Horford for Jabari Parker or not. I said I wouldn't in a void, but for Atlanta's case I think I might.

Right at the top with Klay.. Actually I'd probably put him above Klay due to Klay wanting a max contract next year.

The switch from Stauskas to Wes Mathews really screwed with Rondo.

Stauskas really did gum up the works there for a bit. We could always do a re-vote for Rondo if folks want.

Maybe I'm just biased, but the idea that he's worth Jrue Holiday or less after the 1a to his 1b pulled Kevin Love leads me to question peoples motives here...

Jrue Holiday netted Nerlens Noel and the 10th pick in a strong draft. If we just go by trades I think thats comparable to Parker (I like it definitely more but I am both higher than average on Noel and lower than average on Parker).
Then again, I think both trades had exceptional components to them, but a between Horford and Holiday value doesn't seem out of the question at all.
Also, the 1a required a second #1 pick and a pick around 20, as well as clearing 8m of deadweight to pull Kevin Love...

Re: Jabari Parker Value Score
To be honest, due to my last argument for Derozan he should be higher, but I am not a huge Jabari Parker fan. I think fringe all star to medium all star due to being in the east is his peak. Because of this, I chose Jrue Holiday.
Out of curiosity, how did you pick the players? Personally I would rather have Wes Matthews over Jrue Holiday every day of the week. Out of the current players that have been chosen, if I was making a brand new team I would chose/rank... (Based on position, health, talent, contract situation, etc.)
Demar Derozan
Jabari Parker
Klay Thompson
Deandre Jordan
J.J. Redick (I am sure you are shocked)
Gordan Hayward
Greg Monroe
Rajon Rondo
Derozan-Young talented Shooting Guard that has proven that he can get to the line at a great rate. He is 30/3, so he truly is a complete steal at this point of his life.
Jabari Parker-I am not big on him at all, but with his current contract you would be a complete fool to not take him over the other players.
Klay Thompson-He is in for a max contract raise, and I am not sure I want to be the one giving it to him.
Deandre Jordan-He is a good defensive player who has inflated offensive stats from playing on a great offensive team. He will get an obscene 42/4 (at least) contract that I am afraid of touching. That said, he is a good player.
J.J. Redick-He is on a very team friendly contract at 21/3. He was injured all of last year, but I have confidence that he will come back to being the second best sniper in off ball movement.
Gordan Hayward-I am so happy Charlotte got Lance Stephenson at a bargain instead. Hayward is a very solid player, but 15 million a year? That is absolute madness.
Greg Monroe-I really, really, really, do not like his game. He can score in the post and...? He is a poor defender whether people like to admit it or not, and he cannot shoot outside of six feet. He is also lethargically slow.
Rajon Rondo-The dude wants 100/5 and some team will throw him the four year max. I will kindly pass.
I am not trying to come off as rude in anyway, so sorry if that happens, haha. Totally not my motive, and there is no better way to phrase my comments.
I should also add in that I was desperately hoping we could pull off some kind of #2 pick (Williams) and something for Derozan before he exploded, so I may be a small bit excited about him.

I'd agree with everything here. The voting is difficult just because its tough to judge who you'd trade straight up in a vacuum then assign that a real value. Value is relative based on position and contract no matter what. Unless you're just judging quality of player, but you can do a straight stats comparison then. I'd agree with the rank Domejandro gave though entirely.

And I don't think it's comparable. Noel is a nice prospect, but at the time he was drafted he surely did not hold the same type of value that Parker does and that pick really doesn't make up for it in my opinion. Then there's the fact that Jrue Holiday could never pull that type of value again and even at the time of the trade a lot were saying it was a massive overpay. Maybe it's one of those cases where Horford may be right at the value for some and not for others but you will never in a million years get me to believe that Jrue Holiday holds the same value as Parker and to top it off theres votes for Matthews? Please.

Eh. I think the only way it wasn't comparable was the injury.
That said, I agree that Holiday couldn't get that now.

With 29 votes in ...
Parker Value Score = 7.89
(a little high perhaps because the dork that kept voting Wallace on everyone missed on this one)
