They are both better suited to being developmental coaches or assistant coaches. The responsibility of being a head coach is beyond their skillset. Cheeks repeatedly went into post game interviews saying he didn't know what to do and he was confused. Well that was no big epiphany, his coaching suggested that piloting a team, making in game adjustments, analyzing the parts and developing a team identity were all too big for him.
But as a developmental coach for guards he is pretty much in his lane.
Jon Loyer I understand was a nice guy...not sure what he was good at besides being nice...except when it came to KCP.
