I'll just leave this here.

You can say this and that about R.Allen but Shannon brown his light years behind Allen in every regard of human life.

Also Allen was recruited by LeBron as well.

Ray at 39 can get any spot on any team given the opportunity while Shannon brown needing to claw himself to get a phone call from a team.

That's basically it.

I think the Heat staff know Ray isn't going to pick us, they don't want to be delusional again so they're just signing people and if Ray does want to come back, they'll cut them.

Ray, despite what he says, I think he still ends up on the Cavs.

There is no reason for Ray to end his career in Miami. He has no strong ties to here, besides us appreciating him for what he has done and I think he has some left in the tank (shooting wise). Also he wants a title, he knows LeBron by himself is a trip to the ECF.

The OP doesn't know the value Ray Allen provides....even at this stage and point of his career.

Look, there's no denying what Ray Allen can bring to this team and what he has brought to this team since signing here, but the fact of the matter is that Father Time will catch up to everyone. In addition to that, Ray is a free agent and hasn't made his decision. Miami is moving in a different direction, and with every day that goes by, it's becoming increasingly unlikely that he'll return to this team. No matter what, I wish him the best.

Shannon Brown expressed interest and the interest appears to be mutual, hence the non-guaranteed signing. I'd bring him back because this team needs shooting, but I won't be broken up if he leaves. That's his right and he earned his keep to the tune of a season-saving three-pointer. Hopefully his shooting won't be missed as much with some of the additions to this team, but this game is a business.

I think he should sign with the Cavaliers, to be honest. He won't be the difference between an Eastern Conference Finals berth and an NBA title here in Miami. With the amount of time left I believe he has, he might as well take advantage of the opportunities available to him. Meanwhile, Shannon Brown has a lot of work to do for his contract to be guaranteed here in Miami. I'm interested in seeing what he can bring to the table.

#TeamTJ though. Yes, I hashtagged. SUE ME.

I agree with everything you said except for the notion that Lebron recruited Ray Allen. Pat Riley went after Allen and it was Spoelstra who had dinner with Ray making the pitch. Lebron was never really heavily involved in recruiting in Miami. Riley got the meetings setup and Spo would close the deals by discussing roles etc (Battier, Allen, Oden).

Goodpoint heat4life, I am sure Pat.R was just as involved as recruiting Ray, I was more so leaning towards playing with James than recruiting, apologies.

Not the case. It's that Shannon Brown was open to signing here, and Ray Allen isn't.

If Mr. Shuttlesworth was willing to return, then we wouldn't be scrambling around so hard trying to pick up scraps to compete for the backup 2 guard gig. And at 39 years old I can't blame him. I wish him well. I hope he signs with a team other than Cleveland, and contributes to whooping Cleveland's bitch asses. Class professional, great guy, and a legend in his own right. Thrilled we got to witness him suit up in a Miami Heat jersey, and even more thrilled we witnessed him hit the GOAT clutch shot in Miami Heat history to help give us banner #3.
