Full Jonas highlights with rebounds and missing shots.

It's nice to see Jonas' decision making on those post up plays. They're quick decisive moves against overly aggressive players. He won't face that kind of aggressiveness in the league so hopefully it transpires this upcoming season. QUICK SIDE NOTE: SEPT 30, RAPTORS TRAINING CAMP OPENS. It's almost here boys, the season is almost here!

Dwight :-?

Guys in their second year who get way less opportunites/practice, being significantly more efficient with a shot he's had 8 more pro years working with.

Some posters on this board for whatever reason flip out when Jonas tries a hook shot...

One of my favorite Shaq/Pau moves is this, love to see Jonas masters this move.

None of my coaches would allow spinning to the left while helding the ball in your left hand, like the "coach" teaches:

Pau Gasol is spinning correctly.

I love his hook shots, but I think those users were upset that he'd use those hooks after getting pushed out of the paint

yeah. Jump hooks on the block/in the paint = good. Forced running hooks pushed out 12 feet from the hoop = bad.

JV is using the World Cup as a primer for the the upcoming NBA season

Valanciunas says he’s been working hard on free-throw shooting (he’s a career 77 per cent in the NBA) — and hook shots — during and after practices. He’s also honing his low-post game.
“That’s my strength,” he said.
When Valunciunas wants the ball down low, everybody on the court can hear it in his high-pitched howl (“whoo! whoo!”) and see it in his piercing green eyes.
“I need to perform in the low post, like a big man, trying to help my team by scoring in the low post.”

Valanciunas is hoping the World Cup could give him an edge over players who took the summer off.
“I’m going to come back to Toronto ready for the season,” said Valanciunas, who is about to enter his third year in the NBA. “It’s like preparation for the season, you know, by playing against the best centres in all of Europe and all the world. So, it’s giving me a lift.”

Well Bargnani is much more talented than Jonas, so it should not be surprising he was dominating in some stretches.
If only he cared more and had more dedication :) Combine DD's work ethic with Bargnani's talent and you have a potential superstar.

Bargnani with heart and work ethic is a HOF caliber player. Unfortunately he cares more about Primo pasta and soze than basketball.

No mention of him working on making the midrange jumpshot automatic? :noway:

That should be a high priority on his list. Being able to shoot confidently and make it consistently will do wonders for his effectiveness. Can't be an inside-only player.

I'd much rather he spend the time becoming a good low post player before worrying about the mid range game. Nothing wrong with being an inside-only big man when you are good at it

Obviously nothing wrong with that but then he's gotta stop pump-faking so much. Nobody is going to respect that fake if he's not knocking that midrange J down once in a while.

You people are the ones to blame though. Bargs would've tried harder if only you people got girlfriends, but you didn't, so he sucked.
