Chris Conte missed tackles vs Jay Cutler picks.

Aren't must win games supposed to be winnable?

I think there are some much more looming football reasons why this game may be trouble for us (for instance stopping the zone read run is our weakness versus their strength) and our offense's tendency to make mistakes versus the 49ers tendency to turn mistakes into touchdowns... but for fun I'll add one more obstacle:

http://www.npr.org/2012/09/12/160929344 ... he-sandman

Basically, there is some science that says teams traveling East to West for night games have a body clock issue that results in poorer than normal performance. So... there's that.

If our guys can control the edge on defense, and force a couple more turnovers than we give up... we have a shot at an upset. But this one is going to be a tough one. These are big ifs.

What about the big ifs of B-Marsh and A-Jeff suiting up? You guys think they play?

Hamstrings can be a b*tch and are easily re-strained, so I'm guessing alshon **** and marshall plays.

I heard a great comment on ESPN 1000 today.

Cutler is the highest paid player because he is supposed to be able to elevate the team and make others better. When Rogers, Manning, Brady, Breeze, etc are faced with injured teammates - other teams are still worried because those guys are the best guys on the team. With Cutler (and I've been a big supporter) it seems we are thinking - damn, if he doesn't have all his weapons, it can't get done.

This is a step up game IMO for Cutler. Earn that $18 million a year man. Show me what you got. This is the game we need you to step up.

You're right. You gotta work with what you got. He's got to at least limit the picks.

I thought I saw some stat that showed in which Cutler never has 2 "bad" games in a row (which I still don't think he had a bad game, just one really poor decision which led to a turnover, which would certainly have been points on the board).

But, yeah I do agree that he needs to step up for this game and make the smart decisions. I would imagine that Bears will give it to Forte more out of the backfield seeing as how Niners run d looked a little exposed against Dallas last week.

Sheffler is reporting 75% chance both Jeffrey and Marshall are out. Trestman hates running the ball but he's got not choice but to give Forte 30 carries. Santonio Holmes doesn't know enough of the playbook yet. Bennett is really our only every down target at this point (besides Forte).

If I weren't married and could spend my money on whatever I wanted, I'd bet $5000 on the 49ers. The line is only 7 and I can't see anyway we keep it that close. Should be 20+ point victory for SF.

The NFC North looks like complete fecal matter so far. Bears may actually have a shot at the division.

Forte needs to go off for 200+ from scrimmage for us to have a chance. Also take care of the ball on offense.

49ers didn't look amazing last week in their big win over the Cowboys. A win here would make up for that crap against the Bills.

Lets go Bears. (realistically we have close to no chance but I have to be optimistic)

The read option. The fn read option.
Obviously outside contain. That will expose our lack of push in the middle but u certainly have a better shot with capernick int he pocket than outside of it right? Where he could run or do just about freakin anything?

I know it seems like tough sledding but there are reports that harbaugh has lost the locker room and hopefully if that is a weakness then the bears can capitalize.

A win and we're tied for 1st place!

With the entire division.

But no matter what, win or lose and we're in last place. Lose, and we're there all alone.

If Jim Harbaugh is available this offseason, fire everybody and make it happen.

This team is mentally weak.

I agree. This team is weak period. They look like they don't even want to be there tonight. It's disgusting. If they don't snap out of this, I might vomit.
