Kemp, Puig Share Words In Dugout

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Sep 16, 2014 12:23 pm

Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig got into a verbal altercation in the dugout during Monday night's win over the Colorado Rockies.

The spat was caught by Colorado's television cameras.

Kemp, who had struck out earlier in the sixth inning, was seen pursuing Puig the length of the dugout and yelling in his direction before manager Don Mattingly stepped between them and Kemp turned and walked up the tunnel toward the clubhouse.

The topic of the disagreement wasn't revealed, but it's possible Kemp was upset that Puig didn't take third base on Adrian Gonzalez's single to right field right before Kemp batted.

Several sources have described the clubhouse atmosphere as "dysfunctional."

Dysfunctional because players call out other players for not doing things the right way? I find it dysfunctional if they don't call each other out but instead go to the media. Are the Broncos dysfunctional after seeing Manning go after Thomas? Accountability is whats needed for teams, or anyone, to reach their full potential. Way to go Kemp keep smashing the ball.
