Bosh Excited to be Back in the Post

Post#1 » by ReturnofMVP3 » Wed Sep 24, 2014 4:35 am

I was thinking about this, as **** as the situation was with Bosh shooting threes and long twos I think it made him a much more versatile player (he always was but maybe more polished all around). Now throw in that he is going to be getting major minutes in the post (hopefully) it looks like we might see a bigger and badder CB... Maybe dark horse MVP candidate if we seed well.

Chris Bosh admitted late last season that he preferred not to play inside as much as he did with the Toronto Raptors, but he refreshed his interior game during the offseason.

“It’s just like riding a bike,” Bosh said. “You never forget. I have a lot of experience, years and years. Even though I didn’t get much experience, I always worked on it because I knew I was going to keep it sharp.”

Bosh is now the highest-paid player on the Miami Heat after signing a five-year, $118 million deal.

“Just the demand night in and night out,” Bosh said. “Being in that position to where you’re expected to have a certain amount of output, to play a certain amount of minutes and score points and get a certain amount of rebounds, it’s going to be tough. But I enjoy that challenge. I’ve always enjoyed it. It’s just what comes natural to me. I’m excited. I’m looking forward to everything.”

“They didn’t need me to do that [play in the post]. (Wade) and LeBron were our post guys. I kind of really used to those tools that I gained and put it all together.”

Obviously had a high feeling he will be back in the post but hearing it from him makes it even sweeter. He also seems like he added some weight as well, so a plus!

Like Return said, I see him being a dark horse in the MVP standings.

His length/footwork and being versatile will give him a lot of chances on the line with an arsenal at his disposal for 3's and crazy efficient jumpers.

ffffffffffffffffff..... Can't wait.

I might buy a Bosh's jersey this year. I am not gonna lie, i was mad seeing him camping beyond the 3 point line, i know it was a part of our offensive system but still...
I might finally see the Bosh i wanted to have in Miami, it was about damn time ! 8-)

CB should bulk up, hes not the same athletically wise from 4 years ago. More skilled perhaps, but the post position is punishing

I think I've read somewhere a few years ago one of his trainers saying that he has a type of body that just wouldn't bulk up as well as others.

his game looks the same as when he was with Miami except he didnt play down low as much with us. I didnt realize to took as many deep jumpers and three's with Toronto. I think he is capable of playing the same. good news for us

Except that his best year was when he bulked up. It doesn't have to be D12 bulk. Just a little bit more strength and mass. About 5-10lbs more to help with the damage he's going to be put through down there. Thank goodness he is versatile and can take a break from the post and pop Js to mix it up.

The biggest thing he's missing from TOR was his face up drive game. He hardly did that at all down here. That was a big part of his game because he got by everyone

The bulk put too much stress on his knees. He missed 12 games, 6 straight to end the season, in 2010 on a knee injury, which I'm pretty sure was due to the added weight. He won't last the whole season if he adds weight, especially with our hectic defensive system.

Ideally, you just want him to be able to seamlessly go from being able to handle business inside and outside. I like that he's up for up though.

I would really like Bosh to be an MVP candidate this year. In a documentary when he was with the Raps, he said he wanted to be MVP. This is probably his biggest chance. LeBron is a lock every year at the beginning, but if we do make it to a top 2 seed and he puts up monstrous numbers, it can happen.

Hey guys, I just picked up Bosh on my fantasy team and I was wondering what you guys think his stat line will be this year. What I'm worried about is his rebounds, but if he'll be banging in the post more, safe to assume he'll average more than 6 like he has the past few years right?
