Just saw on fb that Metamoris 5 will be in November and will include a match of Sakuraba vs Renzo.

Wow! War Saku! Always love seeing these old guys get out there and compete and make some money without doing any more damage to themselves.

Rousey was consistently upping the intensity and Gil wasn't.

Looks like Rory MacDonald will face JT Torres as well. Very interesting, it seems like Rory will dwarf JT.

Full card is looking like:
Renzo vs Sak
Rory vs JT Torres
Yuri Simoes vs Rafael Lovato
Vinny vs Kevin Casey
Gary Tonon vs Zak Maxwell
Secret Match

Tonon vs Maxwell should be bananas.

Does Saku have teh discipline to get fit enough for this? No way has he been living a martial disciplined lifestyle. I don't want him to taint his legacy.

Meh idk how much these grappling only matches count towards legacy. Does anyone even remember that GSP basically got flying armbarred in like a minute at adcc? Doubtful.

I liked the Gracie-killer monicker. His uncanny ability to beat GJJ. Royler, Royce, Renzo, Ryan in a matter of 2 years. That was a grappling style issue. His was the antidote. A sub to Gracie, like I imagine will happen here? Tough to continue with him as the Gracie-killer. He'd be 4-3.

NoGi worlds is this weekend. Not sure the extent of mma relevancy. I know Benson is competing though which is cool. His wife must be a beast, I'm unclear of her belt level but I think she won nogi pans and now nogi world's as well.

Awesome news about Dan. I'm about to move into the city then sign back up @ Mota's place if you're familiar with those guys RZ. Ideally I'd be able to go to Comprido's on Saturday's to train. I will be so much happier once I can train.

Dan is just ridiculous, not surprised at all that he's tearing it up, I'm bummed that I so rarely get to roll with him anymore. Glad to hear you are getting back on the mats, I go nutty when I have to be away for too long.

Regarding that vid, I've seen several people on other forums who claim to speak Japanese and say that Saku sounds completely punch drunk. I also noticed in the vid that he said he "only has a few fights left" or some such.

Hey guys just read that Rory Mac will be officially competing at Metamoris 5 against J.T. Torres. It is no longer just talk, but a reality. Would be really interesting to see how he does. Also allows him to stay active while he waits for the Lawler-Hendricks winner.
