We are on the books for a Guaranteed $10M (not counting Bledsoe as we dont know how the structure is yet). Thats with Dragic/Morris/Morris not taking their QO's and us not picking up our team options on Len/Toliver/Plumlee/Goodwin. Now the image hasnt been updated to show Tucker yet, but he is making $5.5M in 2015-2016, so that puts us up to $15.7M. Bledsoe will be somewhere between $12M & $14M, so lets just say $13M, bringing our total to $28.5M.

Im betting we keep our team option on Len($3.8M)/Goodwin($1.1M)/Plumlee($2.1M) so that equals out to $7M ($35.5M Total).

The Salary Cap this season is $63M, and with a new TV deal set in place, some are saying the cap could jump up to as much as $80M. Lets just use $72M to be safe. We would have roughly $39.5M to pay DragicX2 & MorrisX2 and any other players.

This is what our $35.5M Signed line-up will look like:

Bledsoe/Thomas/Ennis
--------/Goodwin
Tucker/Warren
-------/-------/-------
Len/Plumlee

I hope..
Dragic - 5 years / 70 million ~14 million a year
Kief Morris - 4 years / 28 ~ 7 million a year
Marc Morris - 4 years / 16 ~ 4 million a year
Zoran ~ 2 year / minimum (~1 million a year)

Green will look for a big pay deservingly, but I hope he goes to another team, Suns can focus on the youth to play the backup minutes.

PG: Bledsoe / Thomas / Ennis
SG: Dragic / Goodwin / Z.Dragic
SF: Tucker / Warren / Bogdanovic
PF: Morris / Morris
C: Plumlee / Len

I'm concerned that Bogdan, Goodwin, Ennis wont get much playing time at all...
And with not much minutes, they cant show their worth so they wont have much trade value... McD picks too... so I dont think he drafted for the sake of drafting, he has plans for them.

Which is why I think another player(s) will head out instead... ideally 2-3 players for a "star" level player.

And that took a lot of air out me.

Which begs the question?

If Dragic produces the same stats he did last season next season...
What will be the fair number to throw at him?

I'm thinking 5 years 80 million... Similar numbers prime Ginobili got...

If he plays and put up the same numbers he was putting before Bledsoe got injured... 16/6...
What will be the fair number to throw at him?

I'm thinking 5 year 65 million...

If Goran performs like he did last year someone will offer him 4/70 (Knicks? Lakers?) and the Suns will have to get close to those numbers or maybe 5/80 or I think he'll leave.

I have this horrible feeling the Spurs are going to offer Dragic a max and he'll torture us for years...

Must be nearly time to kill the Offseason threads and kick off a fresh preseason thread?

If the coaches and FO think Goodwin has made enough of a stride, I could see us dealing Green or letting him walk this summer. Solid player of course but we just paid IT to do the same thing he does. Shoot bad shots and score.

Give Warren a season or two and if he appears to be the next coming of a star, we can deal off Tucker or Marcus (preferably).

With all the youth we have, that leaves us with hoping Memphis is terrible this season and Marc Gasol wants out. Then we deal for him and go with a pretty competitive lineup moving forward.

I think Dragic will give us a discount. Not a big one, but I don't see him demanding 5 years 100mil. The number someone threw out of 5 @ 80 I could def see. Or maybe between 80 and 90. Knowing teams will likely offer him max (Lakers/Knicks for sure), we at least have something cheaper. This way, he gets more than EB but doesn't strangle us entirely. It'd also mean we are all in with the guys we have for the next half decade.

I'm so much more optimistic about resigning Dragic than I was about Bledsoe. Dragic has made comments about wanting to be here. He loves it in Phoenix. He came back here after being traded. We're bringing in his brother supposedly. I think not only do we have no problem resigning him, I bet he gives us a discount and signs for something like 5/70 as well. He doesn't seem to be all about the money. He just wants to be paid fair market value.

So I think Green is probably our most movable asset going forward now, and I know McD traded for em, but I think the real prize he was after was the pick and Plumlee. There would definitely be a handful of teams interested in him but I doubt they would give up any real assets for a rental, or if they do, it will be a high-risk high-reward type prospect.
Cleveland might be interested in trading Tristan Thompson since Kevin Love will be starting, and he is due for a contract extension. I personally wouldn't want to go after em because I don't want to deal with Rich Paul again, and I don't really think he is the PF I envision the Suns getting.
I'd like to see if the Hornets are interested in trading Ryan Anderson for Gerald Green. I think there was a rumor of a deal around draft day, but I don't recall. He isn't exactly the prototypical PF but he would certainly be an upgrade over Frye, and I think Dragic would enjoy some pick and pops with em.

I'd feel better if the Suns made a deal so we didn't have a logjam at the guard position, and I'd rather have Green at SF than Tucker, but if we could deal him for a PF/C that could contribute now, I'd prefer that. I also think Warren is our SF of the future, hopefully he is starting in his 2nd season if he develops like I think he will.

Agree 100%. I love Gerald on this team but like you've mentioned, we just inked up IT to be our microwave scoring guard. Just as Bledsoe is the defensive complement to the Dragic, a defensive orientated complement is best suited to IT. Goodwin (or perhaps, Zoran) seems to be the logical fit.

First string: Goran (offense) + Bledsoe (defense)
Second string: Thomas (offense) + Goodwin/ Zoran (defense)

Edit: I guess you could move Green to SF, but then you either flip PJ, or perhaps move Warren to a Thad Young type PF, and flip the Morrii for a starting PF. And given how much the Morrii want to be here, I'd be reluctant to do that.

Ennis has to be most likely to be dealt.

There are plenty of teams who could give up a big for him...I'm looking at you Toronto - I'd take either Nogueira or Amir for him...

To the Nets for PLUMLEE! haha. I'd actually love Teletovic here, that guy can shoot and could play the Frye role.

To the Bucks for Henson is a no brainer for us, doubt it for them though.

@ESPNSteinLine: ESPN sources say Zoran Dragic's forthcoming deal w/Phoenix will be two-year guaranteed pact believed to be in excess of $2 mil. No options

Consider the 3.5 million money well spent in keeping Goran.

Also, not the worst talent to have at the back of the bench.

Bye bye Joe Jackson.

Guaranteed we'll see a lineup of the Dragic bros and Mo twins on the floor at the same time during preseason at some point.
