I wish the new ATL headline was "LeBron Went 67 Days Without Sugars, Dairy."

Ron Swanson wrote:I guess I don't see this Suns team "stuck in mediocrity" like many here do. Bledsoe and Dragic are all-star caliber players and Thomas, Green, Morris bros, and Plumlee are valuable, young players on reasonable and/or cheap deals.

So you essentially return your entire young core that won 48 games in the West last season, then add in Ennis, Warren, and 3 1st round picks in next years draft? Even if they get nothing out of Goodwin and Alex Len, that's a pretty damn good core/future.

I don't see anything mediocre about it.

Agree with all this. Add in that Horny appears to be a good coach with an attractive uptempo system and Phoenix will always appeal as a warm weather destination to free agents, the Suns are in a good spot. Plenty of young talent and draft picks that could be used to swing a blockbuster deal, too.

Wouldn't have chosen Neal in the "NBA players who need to lose 22 pounds" pool.

I wouldn't want Rubio here but if I was Minny I would max him. The TWolves roster is pretty much the perfect fit for a PG like Rubio.

Suns are now overloaded at PG and could use help at the 5. Sims of Phily had decent last season. He could be had as 6ers have two higher profile 5s. Bucks could send Mayo and the 2017 1st of Clips to 6ers for Sims to be sent to Phoenix for Ennis. Suns also get fan favorite Dudley back via Bucks to conclude the deal.
TRADE A
MIL-OUT-Mayo, Dudley 1st(LAC) /// IN- Ennis
PHL-OUT-Sims /// IN- Mayo, 1st(LAC), 2nd
PHX-OUT-Ennis 2nd /// IN- Sims Dudley

Kings are overloaded at PF and have no true backup 5. Bucks get younger
TRADE B
Zaza – to SAC for – Williams

ROSTER-age
Sanders-25 / Henson-23 / OBryant-20
Ersan-27 / Williams-24 / Wright-26
Parker-19 / Middleton-23 / Inglis-20
Knight-22 / Bayless-25 / Wolters-23
Giannis-19 / Marshall-23 / Ennis-20

ROTATION-mpg
Sanders-32 / Henson-16
Ersan-30 / middleton-9 / Henson-9
Parker-32 / middleton-16
Knight-30 / Bayless-12 / Marshall-6
Giannis-32 / Marshall-16

Suns are going all in behind Bledsoe and Goran and already have Thomas backing up both.

They seem primed to consolidate some young players and assets into another solid starter.

Yeah, they can't hold onto all those pg's forever. Clearly some were acquired for insurance against Bledsoe departing. But that didn't happen because they expected a king's ransom for him in spite of his would be salary. Once they saw they wouldn't get it, they thought they might as well just keep him even though it might cap their success. Definitely didn't want to give anyone else the satisfaction of getting him without paying them quite dearly for it.

I think Ennis + the Suns' own pick for Ersan would make sense at the deadline if he returns to his form previous to last season like he declared he would. Then he'd be worth about a mid 1st rounder, or two in the 20's where the Suns would probably pick with him and which would be former #18 pick Ennis' value after 2/3 of a season without playing much.

The Suns are an exciting team, and are smart to have so many capable ball-handlers. Good signing for them, wish we could have gotten him. I don't think they'll trade any of their Guards this year, nor should they.

Cavs just traded away basically everybody who wasn't going to play. Now they got room and 15 mil of non guaranteed contracts. Who do they go after? Guessing a center

And you know that Coach Cal probably just tweeted that out to his top five recruits for next year. Seriously.

So.... about what they made at Kentucky?

I think the Suns are in a not so good situation. They're caught in mediocrity and their future relies on the health of an injury prone player. Do not want
