You shouldn't be able to let the ball get that deep with zero upper body movement and still yank it around the pull-side foul pole. That shouldn't be happening.

Humor my ignorance please, but *why* should it not be happening?

Rules or laws of physics or something like that or?

Just wondering, asking nicely, sincerely and politely :)! :P! :)! :D!

He's through the zone so, so fast. The entirety of his swing save putting his front foot down as a timing mechanism happens in a flash, and while he finishes slightly off-balance it's pretty sound through contact despite (thanks to the speed) looking kinda violent. Net result is that, when he sees the ball, he is going to make hard contact more than most, because the ball is breaking less (and even a fastball has some movement) from the point where he initiates his swing to the point where the bat meets it.

Ah ok, thank you for the explanation!

Now if only the Jays could come back from 7-0...Sigh. :(

The only night I'll cheer for Jeter. Walk off Rbi single to right field in his final home game.

Thank God the Jeter goodbye tour is coming to an end.. It was cringe-worthy hearing Pat and Buck talk non-stop about him in every game we played against NY this year.

The Cubs could be truly scary good in a couple years. Baez/Russell/Bryant infield trio is crazy. Throw-in the rest of the prospects and the fact that they can be a top 3 payroll team, top 5 at worst, and even with the lack of uber high-end pitching prospects they should be able to buy what they haven't developed. I really hope this is the offseason they start prepping to be good.

Also, our boy Snideman (that's what they call him in Pittsburg) has become a regular in the lineup and will be heading to the playoffs..

He's about John Mayberry Jr. now, so kudos to him.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Everybody is just throwing away games against mediocre teams. This is so frustrating. 89 wins gets you in the playoffs this year. **** 9-17 August ugh.

AA and Rogers...ugh why do I bother with this franchise #drunkenbitterposts

It's probably going to be 88. Oakland is about to lose AGAIN.

The Jays are going to finish with 83 or 84 wins and miss the playoffs by a few games despite not doing a damn thing in the off-season or trade deadline. That's really frustrating. If they actually tried to improve the team the past calendar year, they may have actually made it.

Seattle is still in it to game 162 even after losing those 3 straight to the Jays this week. That's how open this race for the final WC spot was.

I don't know why you guys are so down on Rogers. They provide quality products and excellent service at fair prices. If anyone has a Cisco DPC3825 modem/router from Rogers, you know what I'm talking about.
