Apparently my team is going to miss a lot of games.

Rondo out 6-8 weeks. Gives my boy Marcus Smart a chance to prove if he can run a team or not. Should be quite telling for both of us.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

The bball gods take away, then a few days later, give it back. Rondo slipping in the shower to break hand...

Celtics already tanking?

I going to post two teams per day

my team's stats doesn't look right, I think rebounds should probably be better with Horford, West, Chandler, Plumlee also 3s should be ok as well. Are you sure you got my team right?

and what happened to posting 2 teams per day?

I don't have a guy with an enlarged aortic root this season, so I'll have to make a new team name.

Well, there goes Woody's season.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

it's 6-8 weeks. 2.5 weeks of this is pre-season. if he returns in 6 weeks, I think it's still salvageable. Though Woody's team is top heavy so that might affect his team more than it would have affected others.

Ok, it's not a death sentence, but, It's pretty close.

I am getting the impression that 6-8 weeks is optimistic. Durant will not be getting any work in during that time, so his conditioning will have a hit.

I looked into other cases of Jones fractures and wasn't able to find much. Chris Singleton had surgery for it last year in mid-September, and didn't get back to practice until end of November, which is more like 10 weeks.

The time-table given to Hakeem Nicks in 2012 was 12 weeks, but I don't know what his actual recovery time was.

In any case, I get to enjoy having Westbrook jack up a lot of shots at the beginning of the season.

Durant is such a fantasy outlier that I don't think it will matter. It just means Woody comes in at a worse seed. But Durant will likely be healthy then, so he'll still be hard to beat in the playoffs.

Well, he's gotta make the playoffs first.
