fivethirtyeight.com, the home of all things analytical in life, has its AL East forecast, and its more pessimistic than even n34 and Santoki

That looks about right, but I think the Rays have a bounceback year (for lack of a better word) and win the AL East.

3. No
4. Cecil, Bautista
5. Yes
6. Bautista
7. Dickey
8. Yes
9. 2
10. Tampa, New York, Boston, Baltimore, Toronto.

My guess is the Jays win 76 games this season.

So, it looks like most of us are screwed on the number of starts for McGowan/Hutch/Morrow. A lot will depend on whether Morrow comes back post all-star break (I doubt it).
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

23 starts so far. I'll need Morrow to come back to reach 50. A few picked in the 40s, though, which could end up pretty close.

I thought I was being pessimistic by picking 60. :(

2014 Predictions

Post#28 » by Santoki » Sun Sep 28, 2014 3:57 pm

Everyone had the O's in dead last and they won the division by double digits.

I think most of us had the Jays around .500, with a fair few picking them to be last which would have put them around 72 wins again.
