Gardy let go.

Gardy was let go today, along with the rest of the coaching staff (They all had expring contracts).

Some numbers for Gardy; 13 years as the Twins manager, finished 29 games over .500 (1,068-1,039), and had four straight years of 90+ lose.

The new manager will be the 13th manager in Twins History.

It is sad to see Gardy leave because it was not always his fault that the Twins lose. Some of the fault can be blamed on the front office and the players that they brought in. Also, some of the key players (Mauer, Ricky, etc) did not play up to their contracts.

I do see Gardy getting another job as manager somewhere in the league. Just do not know where at.

Now, the other thing is who does Ryan bring in to manage the team? Does Paul Molitor or Terry Steinbach take over? Does Ryan look for a guy that does not have managerial experience or does he pick a "veteran" manager?

This is going to be an interesting off-season now. Let the fun begin.

I believe it is at least as much (if not more) Terry Ryan's fault more than Gardy's. Nobody could win with the roster he has assembled, particularily the starting pitching. Nolassco was a horrible signing.

Glad the pitching coach was fired too.
Hughes withstanding, too many guys (like Worley and Liriano) leave here and get their careers back on track.

Yeah the pitching staff was not that good even after Ryan spent money on it in the off-season. I do believe that it will be better next year with a rotation of Hughes, Gibson, May, Milone, and then Nolasco (only here since he makes like 11 a year). That should be a good rotation if pitchers pitch to their potential.
