It wasn't that bad, I just think he mistakenly assumed his target audience was prepubescent.

I've seen many of his videos on the Suns before and I honestly don't think he's ever funny. Dude tries too hard and just makes it awkward.

He'd be better off quitting or just giving up tryin to be funny cause its not happening.

Yeah, not sure what the advantage is with that dip on year 2. Good FA class that year or something?

This is where my experience trying to get what I want comes in. Let's say if I got a job and we were talking about how much I would get paid, I would always ask for more than I really want. Like if I want $20/hour, I would ask for $25/hour. If the compromise is $21/hour, I win because I got more than really wanted. That way the when you meet in the middle on the other side (which they think), I win.

In this case you have to look at the fact that the Suns can offer more than any team in the NBA. That offer they agreed is bigger than any other team can offer. No team legally can guarantee an average of $14 million-a-year for 5 years and Bledsoe and his agent knew this. Bledsoe and his agent won the battle, not the Suns. This offer was open soon after the Wolves showed interest. Before that, the Suns weren't backing down from their 4 year $48 million contract.

He is trolling.

He uses Woj Tweets as facts, yet when presenting Woj Tweets that fly directly in the face of what he is saying, all of a sudden Woj isnt factual.

Presents his own way of looking at numbers, but when presented with the real numbers, all of a sudden your stupid and he makes bad hypothetical situations that do not apply to the subject at hand.

Uses media reports to "back up" his point of view, asks for media reports that support your point of view, but when presented with them he doesnt read them and calls them BS because his say differently.

Other times you outright prove him wrong and he just ignores that aspect and attacks a different part of the post.

Add in the condescending aspects in his post and the need to attack people (even before he was being called out). Then gets hypocritical because i insinuated he couldnt read.

He's clearly trolling...
The guy has 10,000 posts... has had plenty of practice doing so.

He isnt dumb, but knows he can just keep repeating the same thing over and over to get a rise out of Suns fans.

It's not a significant dip either but I suppose every dollar counts. Could be the difference between a JJ and a no JJ lol.

I'm sure its in anticipation of the TV deal, and the cap going way up. I would not be surprise if Bledsoe's contract has a similar dip. You link a few of those together and it could be the difference between signing another nice player or avoiding the luxury tax next summer should they swing a trade for a big money guy and extend Goran.

Nil affect by paying more this year than next, as our team is already pretty set and we have cap to burn.

Allows us to frontload the cr@p out of Goran next year?

After that, it shouldn't make a difference if salaries go up because the TV deal will have well and truly kicked in.

JTrain wrote:Interesting that several think Zoran will be a significant contributor. I think he's mostly a project to keep Goran happy and provide a hustle spark occasionally as the 13th man, like Shavlik did a few times last year. Unless I'm really underestimating his ability, I don't see him taking away any significant minutes from our core guys.

I def agree here. I thought I read that our plan was to make a run at him next offseason but due to other teams having interest, we went after him now.
I'd be shocked if he sees anything more than garbage/d-league time this season. Goodwin is next in line IMO for the 'lets see what he can do' role.

I didn't quite understand how, when you have a chance to ask something 'fun', you go with 'what is favorite tv show' or 'JT or Plumlee'.
I'd rather hear 'what's the most embarrassing thing that's happened to you during your basketball career.

Side note. The most awkward moment for me yesterday was when Earl Barron said he was going to work hard and try to find a place on this team. I literally had to fast forward to the next interview.

I'm sure it has to do with re-signing Dragic. It'll give us an extra 1.2 mil in cap for next summer.

EDIT: Disregard. Forgot the contract starts next season. That really is strange but maybe it's to make a run at Durant?

I had to do the same thing!!

I dont know why, but i felt sooooooo bad for the guy. He seemed rather down, like a sad old dog at the pound, knowing he would never be rescued since he isnt a young cute puppy.

It really really brought me down and i had to skip forward.

Not sure they have such grand designs at the moment. They are probably just giving themselves as much flexibility as possible because they will need to add an impact player (read All-Star) at some point if they want to be more than just an also ran over the next 5 years.

Btw, you have great posts. Love reading them, may not always agree but good posts.

Here's to a win in Denver! Go cards!! And it's looking like Palmer may not be ready to go. But we shall see.

You need to tweet more during the cards games.

Thanks.

Rivers has been extremely impressive, even under pressure which has NEVER been the case. In my opinion he his among the very best QBs in the league if he has time in the pocket, but this year due to injuries he has had less time and still been effective.

On a different forum I belong to, there is an ongoing thread about whether Rivers is elite or not, and I absolutely, wholeheartedly believe he is. More so than Ben, and I LOVE ME some Ben, but I'd put Rivers above every QB in the league other than Manning and Rodgers--and yes, above Brady and Brees. Manning needs to retire--his physical abilities are waning, but his football IQ is through the roof. Anyway, coming from a Steeler fan, Rivers is a flat out stud of a QB--he's this generation's Marino, IMO.

And back a bit on topic, I love your enthusiasm Sunsdeuce. Your posts are always fun to read. But the only I'd say is that while I get that you, along with many of us Suns fans, are aching for a Championship, we are going to have to go through some playoff series losses before we get there. We can't go from a non-playoff team to a Championship in one year. McD is going to need some time to build the team, but he's doing a slam dunk job of it to date. We have many trade pieces, and if the Lakers end up a lottery team, we are going to have our pick (late lottery through pick 18-20, or so, I presume) and a Lottery pick, along with guys like Ennis, etc., to trade for that one All-star big that we are missing. So either Len develops into a stud, or I strongly believe by next years draft, we will have traded for one.

I guess I'm saying that if you aren't patient, your likely to be disappointed for the next couple of years, but I believe we are on the cusp of building a special team...I truly do!

Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker most recently. It happened alot in the older days ... Magic, Bird, Richard Dumas, Oliver Miller, Sam Cassell,

I'm sure we can find more. Its really how much trust and encouragement the coach gives the rookie if they are ready. Also a team with quality vets really helps too.
