Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

We'll see. Weren't they peaking in 2012 after whooping on the Yankees, though? And there certainly wasn't any momentum when the Giants were down 0-2 against the Reds or 1-3 against the Cards, having to win both games on the road.

Momentum is only as good as next day's Starting Pitcher.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

I really hope so or else Billy Beane will be more of a "jack butt" for trading Cespedes away.

if the 2002 As didn't win it all, then momentum/ being "hot" mean very little (but i know a lot of people buy into it, thats why i asked).

usually those "hot" teams that win it all just end up being really good in hindsight and we didn't know it at the time.

I'm curious as to how the ratings of a Beltway World Series would turn out.

The A's just know how to choke. Point blank. The whole being hot or peaking at the right time doesn't matter with this organization. Billy Beane will find a way to lose. Hopefully, it won't be tonight, but I wouldn't be shock at all if they choke.

Blunder by Royals manager going with a rookie starter out of the pen.

Completely. Anyone who wanted to talk about baseball today went on and on about the Royals advantage in defense and relief pitching. And then they put in a guy who hasn't come out of the bullpen all year. They may as well have DH'd Alex Gordon.

Man, I feel bad for Ventura. He had a good year. Shouldn't have been put into that situation.

Ventura learned a valuable lesson, you can't just go up there and throw 1,000 mph in the bigs.
