Are the Pistons having an open practice / scrimmage ?

Per KL, nothing listed on the schedule, but he anticipates the pistons will do something in relation to open session with the public

Is there a team that does less for their fans than the Pistons? In terms of access they are dead last. If you look at the Lions, they have an open practice at Ford Field and a open training camp, The Red Wings have a fan fest event, and the Tigers have Tigerfest and a caravan. The Pistons schedule this "meet the team" event for 11 AM on a Wednesday, which prevents most people with a job or school from attending.

They have practically been forgotten south of the Metro Detroit area and for good reason. It is virtually impossible to find any Piston gear in stores down here and with the Pistons playing north of Detroit it is hard to attend games. A few years ago they did a preseason game down in Toledo which was nice but since then nothing. Do an open practice on a weekend or at like 7-8 o'clock so more fans have a reasonable shot of attending.

I go to probably ten U of M games a year for a fraction of the cost of a Pistons ticket, much shorter drive for me, and much better competition lately.

Sorry for ranting.
