Any word out of training camp on how Stauskas and Mclemore look so far?

Ur crazy.
Diaw can handle, make plays, has good floor vision, can play in the post, can shoot 3s, has soft hands, bball IQ.
DWill is like totally opposite of Diaw. DWill is a dunker. Diaw barely jumps over a phone book.

Diaw has ball handling and passing abilities that are well beyond the scope of what D Will is and most likely will be at this level. At this point Dwill would probably be better off looking at footage of Patrick Patterson or some other stretch 4.
Word is that JT is going back to that 3 point shot. I think if he can finally show that at the NBA level he'll fit this team finally. Part of the reasoning for him being drafted as high as he was was his 3 point potential. Hopefully he can focus in and become a Robert Horry type of player.
Horry was high IQ and about as clutch as anyone I've ever seen. JT seems pretty much just a decent guy at most things but works fairly hard at least, well most of the time.
I like my chances picking some lottery numbers than JT becoming Horry 2.0.
I remember when the Kings were gonna trade L-Train for him back in the day, Horry's picture should be in the dictionary for role player.
Skill wise and usage wise Horry is probably his best shot. You can't account for the intangibles but in terms of your skill usage you can always emulate certain players and where they played on the floor and how they were used in the offense.

So glad to hear this!!! He finally started using his length last year and more this summer, I still firmly believe he can impact the game defensively as much as a player like Marc Gasol. Less charges more challenges and he'll be just fine. A big body like Cuz can give you more than a shot blocker can any day if they just play smart and use their size. Having some legit wing defenders who make it to where you don't have to clean up every mess helps a lot too though, haha.

Maybe the defense on our wings is a more serious problem...Usually the reason of losing a game

Re: Starting/primary lineup?
If Malone stays true to his words and puts all those things in place that this team needs then this team has a chance. Finally, this is what I've been wanting to see for the least 4 years or so. Thank goodness the Kings have Malone in the ranks:
http://www.sactownroyalty.com/2014/10/2/6888309/michael-malone-ball-movement
"When you take away the pick and roll and dribbling, a lot of guys have no idea how to play, they can't get themselves open and more importantly, they can't get their teammates open," Malone told Sactown Royalty. "The first times we've done that drill, it looked like these guys had no idea how to play, and a lot of them don't. We're in the NBA and a lot of guys have no idea how to play the game of basketball."
Malone brought a specific legendary coach up when asked about his efforts to cure the Kings' "dribble-itis" - the late, great Pete Newell. Newell is the former Cal coach who instituted the reverse-action offense. The fundamental principle behind this type of offense is to use a screener, a cutter and a passer, all of them working in one fluid motion. The offense lends itself to having players with post moves. Newell is renowned for establishing a system built on aggressive defense and an offense that is pattern-based and disciplined.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Give Big Cuz a target and he'll get you 4-5 apg, just watch. Employing a motion offense is a must when considering the bulk of this teams offensive versatility within it's core base of talent. I'm hoping that they involve some of the triangle like principles in particular. It will take time but in the end this team will have hope if they get a couple plays down.
I don't know what the possibilities are but I think a common sense thing is to bring Shaq and maybe Vlade in to give Cousins some pointers. They know that style of offense quite well. That's if he needs them of course, he has a very natural court vision about him.

Finally some good news from the coaching staff.
And Cousins if the ball is moved as Malone said could lead us in assists, 5 seems a little high, but even 4 from him and other increases across the board would be a welcome sight.
I like the philosophy myself, and bring in the franchise player and tell him this is what we want and make it happen. If Cousins buys into this, and it starts working we could see vast improvements.
Maybe we can put this IT fiasco behind us as well if we get some good rotations and passing down. Nik on paper and college analysis seems 10 times better to do such a thing with rather than Mclemore or Thornton as well.

Fun to hear a coach talk about teaching offensive awareness instead of just drilling sets...

Webber averaged around 5 apg, and that's with Vlade next to him averaging between 3-5 apg, and of course Bibby. Obviously Cousins isn't working under the same circumstances, but 4-5 apg for him is realistic.

They really moved the ball back then, seems like ancient history. But if Cousins can get 5 assists that's fine with me. I see him as a willing passer too, high IQ at times as well.

Wow that's the insight we needed!
Kings is actually a team rely too deeply on P&R offense. That's one reason why the ball always belong to those three guys.

I'm waiting for that word. The 1 and 3 positions are solid. I don't have a problem with Collison/Sessions, and we have been hearing nothing but positive about Jason and Reggie. Coach Malone says Dwill looks good too. It's all about this position known as the SG... I haven't heard any word about either of our SG prospects and how they have looked so far

Re: Starting/primary lineup?
I love the NBA. Especially the excitement leading up to the season opener. However, I've learned that there is always a hell lot of hype surrounding a franchise, especially one with such turnover. There's a lot of newness to make things excited. I hate to be a pessimist, but all this great talk about small ball and positionless basketball is premature. We still have average talent. Its great a system is being instilled. Structure is changing...but talent wise were still just average.
It's going to take a top tier small forward, the best center in the league, a whole lot of team defense, and a coach of the year for this team to be successful. My measure of success for this team is to make the playoffs. Improvement does not happen by being a 9th seed. I don't care amount numbers and neither do the veterans. They want playoffs or bust. Were still bottom of the pack in the west and need significant upgrades at the 2 and the 4 to be relevant in the west. With that said, go kings!
