49ers players want Harbaugh out report

Post#1 » by bmvanthiel » Mon Sep 29, 2014 2:56 pm

http://www.csnbayarea.com/49ers/deion-s ... ocid=yahoo

According to Deion Sanders, the players are not "down" with Harbaugh and want him out. There aren't a whole lot of details(obviously with stuff like this)

Also, yesterday I saw some tweets that Harbaugh was trying to talk with Kaepernick and he basically just ignored him/walked by him.

Who knows the truth and maybe some things are being blown out of proportion but we have all kinds of issues on this team. A lot of pretty crappy character guys, issues with the GM and head coach, and possibly tension with the head coach and players.

I really feel like we have too many rotten eggs in the locker room and need to get rid of a few of them to get the chemistry right.

What bull... No doubt crabby leaked this. I wish they would just get rid of the cry babies instead of keeping them around and be a cancer to the team.

This was reported Sunday morning before Sanders spoke up.

In this case we're starting to see more and more smoke so at this point it shouldn't be surprising that there might be a fire.

Nobody in the 49ers locker room has stated any problems with coach Jim Harbaugh – publicly or even privately, according to Harbaugh.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning that “voices are growing louder and louder and there is doubt whether Harbaugh is “all in.” After the 49ers’ 26-21 victory over the previously unbeaten Philadelphia Eagles, NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders said players want Harbaugh out.

This is coming as news to guard Alex Boone, who made his feeling clear Monday during an appearance on the Damon Bruce Show on 95.7 The Game.

“So what’s the problem? I’m confused. Is winning not good? Is business not a’booming right now, boys? Here’s my problem with all of this: If you’re not in our locker room, then keep the 49ers name out of your mouth,” Boone said. “Let’s just do that, because you have no idea what goes on in our locker room.

“If they just named a name – ‘He said this’ -- now you got a story. But everyone’s saying, ‘The suits upstairs’ or ‘Somebody in the locker room.’ Well, who are the suits and who are the guys? Because last I checked, I was in the locker room yesterday and it was all smiles and everybody was happy and nobody was saying, ‘We want him out.’”

Boone provided a report of his own, stating that the locker room is universally in Harbaugh’s corner.

“As a matter of fact, I know for a fact that everybody loves Harbaugh,” Boone said. “He’s a great guy. He’s a great coach. How could you not want to win for a guy who wears cleats during a game? Come on, now. Have you ever seen that guy’s energy? He’s excited 24/7. You got to love to play for a guy like that. That’s what football’s all about.

“And for people to come out and say, ‘Oh, so-and-so told me they want him on the outs,’ all right, name your source. Go ahead. I can’t do that. Well, that doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t know. Apparently, I don’t live in reality.”

I think Boone has a better pulse than unnamed sources.

You know it's official when Deion reports it.

Dilfer reported tonight that his "toxic" comment was about the body language on the field and that he has not talked to anyone in the 49er organization.

What a jackass.

Is anyone really surprised the the media is trying to pour gasoline all over this story? Nobody cares about the DV cases anymore, the need something new to talk about.

Ha, I heard those comments too. Just ridiculous. And a little disappointing coming from someone like Dilfer who I think for the most part, does a decent job.

Definitely. But as they say, where there is smoke, there is fire. And per Harbaugh's own admission, he wears out his welcome everywhere. My hope is that he stays beyond this season and gets an extension but I still want to see Roman go.

Odds are there is a portion of players that aren't happy with Harbaugh.

I would venture to guess in every locker room you have a chunk of players unhappy with the coaches and Harbaugh has an abrasive personality that could rub people the wrong way.

And in general the mood of the locker room always fluctuates. A few wins in a row and everybody is happy and a few losses in a row and everybody starts to grumble.

All this talk could've been avoided if the team worked out an extension with Harbaugh long term but nobody knows which side was the side holding things up.

Even Harbaugh is able to get this team a SB win than he'll solidify himself as easily one of the top coaches in the league.

Outside sources know nothing, unnamed sources I ignore, and Boone has reason to say what he did. Taking all that, I will assume we are the same as every team who has high expectations and have lost a few.

I wish that was clear from the beginning because we could have blasted him for what it was, not have to assume his comment was what it sounded like. What he said he was saying is better than what we thought (because claiming it was the lockerroom when he wasn't there is worse than saying you were reading on the field body language), but it is still, if you have nothing to report why say anything? And if truly is just an opinion based upon observations, say so from the beginning so it doesn't sound like it's from a source, named or not. Some people assume a former 49er would know and give him more weight. As such, he should have been more clear.

Could Deion have talked to Trent?

Naaaah....

But who knows if a player who was let go could have fired a parting shot or two? Deion got a story and the player gets to be a smug bastard.

I took it as him backtracking, not that his original statement was unclear. He also said (on Monday) that it was not unreasonable to think Harbaugh was coaching for his job against Philly.

I think this has been badly blown out of proportion. And the only hint we have as to who the source/s is/are is Deion saying he talks to "suits" suggesting it's not players. Trent admitted to not talking to anyone with the organization.
