They're going by his Finals performance I'd say. He'll climb back up everyone's ladder this season. No worries.

He had a terrible Finals performance & on top of that the maintenance program he was on last year made it very understandable for people to rank him very low. I'm expecting a good bounce back season from Wade this year tho

Wade can be a top 15 player this year if he plays 65-70 games. Also, why does the OP continue to make these sneaky topics where he's trolling the forum and
@ that username.

Well as underhanded as it is, he isn't breaking any rules.

I don't know about the rules but he is obviously trolling the forum with topics like "LeBron would have stayed if Miami 3peated", "LeBron upset at Mike Miller Amnesty", "Wade ranked #32", "Why the Heat won't sign Ray Allen". He's welcome to make those on the GB. If I made sneaky troll topics on other team boards I would definitely be warned by the mods (not backseat modding here, just saying).

Warned? You'd be banned from the whole forum outright for a long time if this were done in secession on the Bulls or Knicks boards. Mods here are a bit more lenient. If his posts were a problem, he would have been dealt with already. It's not that I agree with allowing posts like these but it isn't much we can do except report so I don't bother.

I think some of you are overly optimistic about this.
The history of the NBA is not quite littered with players coming back from serious knee issues.
I loved Wade's game and what's happening is sad, but I think he's almost done as a star.

My thoughts exactly... Its either LBJ threads/baiting or disregarding the Heat in some way shape or form.
Ban this guy.

When did Wade sit out for a knee issue? I thought he took many days off to properly recover from his ossatron surgery or something to that effect. It made him out of rhythm and out of NBA shape during the playoffs and thus, had no lift or legs during the Finals. Correct me if I'm wrong because school has my mind under lock and key.

Re: Wade ranked at #32 by SLAM
I don't get why people are always surprised by these things
He missed 28 games, sucked in the Finals, and his knee is questionable.
He has to prove himself once again, in a league where stars are getting better and better, while he did not have a good season. Yes his numbers were good, but again, he missed what... 34% of the season?
This is a great opportunity to prove the doubters wrong... again. Wade always has to do this for himself it seems. Though, at times it's not exactly his fault because of his health. Wade would be ranked top 10 every year if he didn't have knee issues, or injuries but it is what it is.

He sat out in 2008 following surgery on his knee.
He had his meniscus removed in college IIRC.
He had tendinitis in the knee as early as 2008.
He had 3 bone bruises on the same knee in 2013.
And despite his "maintenance program" he was a shell of his former self in the finals.
It's not about one major surgery, but about a number of lesser injuries that added up over time.
I am not unrealistic and some slow down was expected with age, but think about this: splitting the double team was his signature move. When is the last time you saw him do that ? It's not like he's 36 or 38, he's only 32.
His game was predicated on explosiveness and rapid changes of direction.
His body can't handle those anymore and, unfortunately, Wade didn't work (enough) on a 3p shot.
As much as I love him, I think he will have a terrible season.
He'll be expected to carry a much larger role (and make no mistake, teams will still want to beat the Heat, even if Lebron is gone), without Lebron there'll be a ton more focus on him from defenses and without the maintenance program he'll be playing back 2 backs and 4 games in 5 nights. I really don't expect his body to be able to take all this.
I don't see him scoring over 16 ppg AND shooting over 45% FG. Maybe one of the two, but right now I would say neither. I'd expect something like 15 ppg on 43% FG with at least 20 games missed and terrible D and a lot of whining to the refs (which is the thing I really don't like about him nowadays).
And no, I won't hate him for it or complain about how he's overpaid and how he should have taken a bigger paycut. Dude deserved each and every cent he's getting, and more. This franchise wouldn't be anywhere close to what it is today without him.
But I will be sad to no longer be able to witness his greatness.

I wasn't going to acknowledge this but couldn't stay away. Lebron is gone so no need to hate Miami or Wade anymore. So Wade avg 19 PPG on like 12 shots so you really think he's going to dip with more shot opportunities?

^ problem is he's never gonna be healthy. Paul George and D.Rose most likely will.
