Thierry Henry is playing his final season for the New York Red Bulls, according to club head of football Gerard Houllier.
Henry's contract expires after this season and he's yet to say whether he will retire or play in another country.
"He planned to put an end to his career, it is possible that these could be his final matches," Houllier told francefootball.fr. "It may be that the urge will tickle him and that he will retire somewhere else, but it will not be with the Red Bulls."
In the wake of Landon Donovan's retirement announcement in August, Henry said he felt like he could still play.
"We'll see," he said when asked what his future holds. "I still feel fresh, somehow, after a lot of games in my career. But I'm okay still so far."
