probably the only time the a's got to celebrate infront of a sold out crowd

I wouldn't be talking for a team that the last time they went to the playoffs was back in . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1985!

Don't get cocky and talk down on the A's. Great win tonight though. Enjoy it because I'm pulling for you guys against the Angels btw.

Not many times Wainwright is the underdog in the match up but eagerly looking forward to this one.

I'd rather be the underdog in baseball.

no pressure. just go out. swing freely. throw strikes and try to execute pitches.
mess up? oh well, try your best to get back in the game. i mean really. No matter the angle/ situation you're in, you're going to be shocking the world....even if you have 11 WS titles and 2 in the last decade.

I see why the Giants/Cards revel in it.

Verlander needs to pitch 9 innings if the Tigers want to win today.

Baltimore is fun to watch. 10 of 15 runs scored this series with 2 outs.

So the MLB wonders why they aren't the popular sport in America anymore...then puts all of their games on FOX SPORTS 1 or TBS. WTF. Even the NLCS has 5 of the 7 games on Fox Sports 1. SMH

it usually works the other way around, they are put in those channels because baseball is not popular enough for their target demographic.

Tigers just need to win Game 3. With Max Scherzer pitching Game 4 and Justin Verlander pitching Game 5, this series is far from over. Those two horses can get the job done.

Unless their starters go 9 every game, they're ****.

Yea definitely true, but they could use their regular starting pitchers in the bullpen like Anibal Sanchez (Don't know if he will available for Game 3 after pitching today, but more than likely, he will be available) and Rick Porchello.

Scherzer is not going to pitch on 3 days rest. He'll get Game 5 if it goes that far.

Jake Peavy threw one hell of a game today, up to the Giants bullpen to close it out the last 3+ innings.
