Not the most creative? It is when you are the 1st person to come up with it, and others think, "WOW, THATS SO PERFECT! WHY DIDNT I THINK ABOUT THAT??". Its referencing a video game from the late 80's for christs sake, im surprised as many people got the reference as they did.

True, he might have thought he was ultra creative and came up with it first, but c'mon, i even made a picture with Zoran and Gorans heads on the Double Dragon movie poster, and over a year and a half later he did the same, but used the video game poster.

I never heard ANYONE before me use the term "Double Dragon" when referencing the Dragic's, and im happy that its spreading, but seeing Espro act like a proud papa when people have been complimenting him on creating that moniker is a bit irritating. Im just a bit salty.

Everyone always thinks they are the first one to come up with something...I bet there were people saying it before both of you.

Don't think its anything to get worked up about.

Kerred. I believe (only through about 5 mins of searching) that you were not the first person to coin the term "Double Dragon." Through careful searching i think that the first iteration of this term was used by DBrimstone in March of 2010 in this thread http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=994762&start=40

if you can find a time when you posted it earlier, then i'd be happy to re-throne you the title "Double Dragon Credit Guy"

Now the image was taken down (or doesnt work anymore), but if you go to quote that post (or this one because i quoted it) you will clearly see the address of the old image link. It was a double dragon picture. A short time later i created my own image, which has been used multiple times since.

There have been name originality disputes throughout time. How do you think Zeus's hardcore gangster son "G-Zeus" felt when Jesus showed up on the scene with a blatantly plagiarized name?

Espo really bothers me. He seems like someone who got a job because he has family that works for the team in some way.
Just not very good. Though, I remember Mr ORNG trying out for that same job and he posted his audition which wasn't very good. So I guess it could have been worse.

And while I'm venting, does Mr ORNG work? The dude travels to many games and gets great seats. Seems like he is either well off moneywise or maybe his family is. I just hate how he acts like big **** because he always gets to meet the players. :banghead:

Weird. He actually seems to be an o.k. dude. He was even nice on Twitter for people **** talking him when he said we were signing Eric Gordon to a max deal (then we did.) I don't know what your particular experiences are with the guy but that's been my experience.

If it was something totally obscure and out of the blue I could see him pitching a fit. However, to anyone 30 years old + the name is really obvious. Lets not act like the game is some obscure old 80s game no one ever played. It was in every arcade, roller rink, mini-golf, and chuck-e-cheese back then. It's a well known game. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that he thought of it independently. If you still feel strongly that he stole from you then you should contact him.

As for Espo, he's kind of a ham but is a nice dude. I could see if he was a brash prick or something but that is far from the case. My advice here is just like I advised the guys on .net. Take some time and write to the Suns organization about how annoying you find him and how it makes you less likely to participate in alternative content for the Suns. They take that stuff seriously and it will accomplish a lot more than bitching on a message board.

Return to Phoenix Suns
