I think Marcus should get the majority of the time at SF but you HAVE to start Tucker. No if ands or buts. I see Tucker getting about 20 minutes per game locking down the opposing teams star player. Definitely need him to start the game and keep that player in check.

Especially against Kobe on opening night.

Don't want to take too much away from a scrimmage, but this team is GOOD. So much depth, especially in the back-court. It almost feels like a shame because guys like Goodwin, Warren, and Ennis aren't going to get nearly as much playing time as their ability probably warrants.

The Morris bros can both really ball. I never thought Markieff would turn out to be this good, but he's a legit starter and brings a ton of energy and toughness to the team.

Shavlik Randolph isn't a starter or anything, but if any of the bigs go down with injuries, he's very capable of coming in and playing minutes for us. Quite a talented player in his own right.

Obviously didn't get to see Tolliver play, but just from hearing him interviewed you can tell he's going to be a fan favourite and a great locker room presence and leader for this team.

The three guard tandem of Dragic, Bledsoe, and Thomas simply cannot be touched in this league. Thomas at 4 year 27 million is by far one of the best contracts in the league. In the first half he and Bledsoe had exceptional chemistry together and were a nightmare for the white squad.

I thought it would be a while after the Nash era before we had a good team to cheer for, but this squad can make some noise this year and they all seem like really likeable guys. It's going to be a fun season, good time to be a Suns fan. All hail McDonough

Zoran is terrible.

It's a glorified practice. You can't be optimistic or pessimistic about anyone based on today.

Plus, this is the first time ever zoran is playing NBA talent (with and against). So I would expect some gitters from him. Once he gets comfortable with his surroundings, he will be fine. He isn't use to going so fast and banging as much. He will be fine.

Edit: Goran just mentioned that Zoki had his 3rd training camp in a short time (slovenia, spain, us), so dude must be tired like hell, which might account for the airballs. So lets wait and see, but the things stated above apply to this game.

I'd put that on the change in the 3-point arc. FIBA is 22.1 feet. NBA is 23 ft 9 inches. He's going to need a little time to adjust to the NBA.

Isaiah Thomas was the one that looked most impressive to me today.

Marcus Thomas played well but he still takes contested shots. He takes contested shots in reg games and he makes it on days that he's on and then bricks them all when he's off.

He needs to learn to take better open shots.

He doesn't how to pass the ball either. Same with Green and Tucker.

Also true, but I have seen him make NBA range 3pointers easy, both in euroleague and the world cup. But 3 training camps in 3 months is brutal. Plus that elevation - I d be gasping for air after 2 minutes

I'm not too worried about Zoran right now. What, he has been in the states for about one week? He's had to acclimate to a huge time zone shift and certainly different food; let alone the heat of Phoenix and then the altitude of Flagstaff. Not saying he is going to be great but jeez people are way too judgmental in less than six days. Same thing with Len ... injured and out of shape most of last year and he is bust in lots of eyes. Patience is needed for all these young players. Their time should come.

Again, yes and no.
I did not make a judgement for his career, just answered a direct question: how did he do in scrimmage? Not well.
I m more than willing to give promising players time, and thought Len (and Archie) had a good showing, and I pointed it out in a different comment.
Zoran might turn out good (I think he can be a valuable reserve, 3+D with hustle), but time is a bit against him as he is already 25. If we are lucky he can develop and adjust in the 2 years during his contract the way we d like him to be, then resign him for another 4 yrs at reasonable money so he can stay with his brother.
