The class act won't be able to play well today 'cause Harbaugh won't be there to slap his pads for him. :)

If I was at the game today I would give Alex a standing ovation. He did everything he could for the 49ers. He worked his ass off and took blame away from piss poor coaching. He worked his but off and had one of the worst offensive lines in modern history. Holding Kwame Harris stole so many good plays from Alex. Through out all the BS and we want Carr chants Alex was a professional. Then in one game the "game manager" went toe to toe with Drew Brees. Alex Smith went out and delivered an all time great playoff winning drive. I know I will always remember how he "Threw a dart... and it was right on point!"

I hope he gets his standing ovation today. he deserves it.

Alex Smith did nothing for this organization other than steal its money. Standing O? Yeah, GTFO.

In the last 3 weeks, Marcus Cooper has been throw at 27 times with 19 of those balls completed for a whopping 310 yards (16.3 average) and given up 4 TDs in his coverage area. He's only gotten his hands on/broken up 2 of those 27 passes (both against Denver). Ouch!

Breakdown by receiver against Cooper:

Jacob Tamme - 1 rec for 4 yards, 1 TD
Demaryius Thomas - 2 rec for 37 yards, 2 PDs.
Emmanuel Sanders - 3 rec for 78 yards.
Julius Thomas - 1 rec for 13 yards.

Rishard Matthews - 1 rec for 13 yards.
Mike Wallace - 3 for 52 yards
Brian Hartline - 2 for 10 yards, 1 TD

Julian Edelman - 1 rec for 4 yards
Brandon LaFell - 3 rec for 68 yards, 1 TD
Rob Gronkowski - 2 rec for 31 yards, 1 TD

*His 310 yards given up in his coverage area is the most in the NFL among all CBs. His 19 receptions given up in his coverage area is tied for 8th most. He's contributed to giving up the 6th most YAC in the NFL this season, too.

I'm guessing we throw his way 1 time today.

We'll see. Chiefs don't play a lot of corners. Sean Smith has been targeted 23 times, Chris Owens 18 times, and Ron Parker 9 times. Sean Smith has played outstanding except for week 1 vs. Titans when he gave up 2 TDs (Kendall Wright, Delanie Walker) in his coverage area and had 52 yards against him.
