all of the names mentioned wouldn't even think about taking the raiders job. heck gase rejected browns who are in much better shape than raiders, at least on one side of the ball.

they are going to settle on coaches that are not in demand until management proves they can run a nfl franchise.

I normally don't like college coaches but I think Shaw in Stanford will be great in the NFL. Plus he's already nearby in Northern Cali so it wouldn't be much of a move. I don't know if he'd leave a good thing to coach a mess like Oakland but hey, when the money comes calling it's hard to say no...
