I don't think any Lakers fan expects Steve to play healthy the whole season. However, Steve has been a positive influence on Jeremy. I like how Lin has improved his ability to come upcourt. That's directly a Steve Nash influence, as Lin was doing a lot of the jab steps and bumps and joggles that Nash does to advance the ball upcourt smoothly. Lin didn't have those moves in his repertoire before this offseason.

Anyways, 10 assists in the first game! He only got that several times the whole of last season! It's like he was in prison in Houston. Very promising indeed. Developing some chemistry with Ed Davis:

It looks like Jeremy Lin found his Tyson Chandler again, this time in Ed Davis. Davis may not be the explosive finisher that Tyson Chandler is, but he is the more creative one. Not only did he get points from point-blank range, he showed dexterity on the floor as well.

I didn't know randle could handle the ball that well. He looked very comfortable with the rock.

I think he needs to work on his decision making. There was a play where he got the rebound went coast to coast got to the rim and just ran into the paint with opposing players losing the ball. I do think he will get smarter on when to run but he reminds me a lot of Lebron/Lamaresque in how big he is and how fluid he looks like when he runs.

- "Linball" in which the defense sends 2 or 3 guys at Lin while abandoning Lin's teammates has already begun. Lin's teammates were shocked at how easy it was to attack the gaps created by Lin.

Yes the Nuggets did double him, and no his teammates wasn't surprised. Lin simply did what the double tells you to do....MOVE THE BALL. He was doubled because the Nuggets didn't want him to get into the screen-roll, the Nuggets game plan was to force most of these unproven players to shoot jumpers.

The Lakers had trouble rebounding in the 1st half, but Lin solved it by coming down low to help.

Dude stop.....Lin only had 3 boards and the Lakers out rebounded the Nuggets 45-43. The Lakers control the boards all game because they controlled the tempo for most of the game. We love Lin but stop over blowing it.

This will be an ongoing problem for the Lakers and will be their sole weakness throughout the season. The Lakers sure could use a Donatas Motiejeunas or Greg Smith right now - maybe they'll try out Jeremy Tyler or someone like that.

To show how misinformed you are, Tyler is already on the roster but has a slim chance to make the team. And no rebounding won't be a problem, Boozer per 36 minutes for his career is a 10.4 rebounder. It was preseason man, once guys like Boozer gets his normal range in minutes his boards will go up and so will Jordan Hill's who had a double double in limited minutes. Again stop stretching it.

The Lakers defense simply doesn't kick in without Lin.

Ahh....Clarkson was the first guard off the bench and that's when the defense started to kick in. He helped Steve when they ran Lawson off the curl screens.

Opponents play easy when Lin is out, but not when Lin is in. Steve Nash is soft, but he's not a defensive sieve either. He's simply an "average" defender, but the overmatched Lakers need more than that.

No Nash is a horrid defender at this stage of his career. He will be beaten every night by the faster guards because he lacks lateral foot speed.

Starters didn't look good without Lin.

FALSE....they played just like most expected them to. They were choppy at first because of chemistry issues, and that will be worked out as the games are played.

They played "pretty", but they couldn't push the team ahead.

Again FALSE. The starters are the ones who finally took control of the game in the 3rd....what the hell game were you looking at ?

The starters, even Bryant, don't have a physical presence. It takes Lin on the court to provide that physical presence

Man this is about the biggest sack of s*** I've ever read here. Yeah at a whooping 6'3" Lin was the most imposing figure on the floor. Man please miss me with this mentally challenged thinking.

Llin is good and us Laker fans will love his style of play and we're not gonna hate on him. But one thing that we won't stand for is somebody making him bigger than this team. Stop with the lies. We got a lot of smart basketball minds here and we will pick post like these apart......

he also got stripped quite often in the post. but his face up drive to the hoop is scary though. he just ran to the defender, swing his arm high, and the ball just goes in
